Spook University

Summary:

Spook University is a small studio tucked behind the Abbey’s main lecture halls and becomes the unlikely home of the new podcast “Spectral Studies”. Hosted by the ever-composed Papa Perpetua, The show’s goal is: “to illuminate the mysteries of the beyond through civil, academic discourse.” Unfortunately for Perpetua, his producer insisted he take on a co-host — none other than Papa Terzo, whose “flair for media” translates into live chaos and charm, specifically when Tonight’s guest is a succubus (you).

Notes:

Cozytober 2025 day 18 prompt: “At spook university (adjacent to the main Abbey) (A) and (B) host a podcast: interview with a creature”

Work Text:

You perch weightlessly on the edge of the recording table, your tail mindlessly curling around an antique looking mic stand. The studio at Spook University smells faintly of old parchment paper and espresso. A candle flickering gently between stacks of well-read journals and textbooks. Sitting directly across from you, Papa Perpetua straightens and brushes off his robes for no less than the fifth time, muttering something about “academic decorum”, while Terzo is already leaning forward, grinning as if he owns the airwaves himself.

“Welcome to Spectral Studies,” Perpetua begins, voice calm and measured. “Tonight we are joined by a rather…unusual guest.” He steals a glance at you, eyes narrowing just slightly at the tips of your horns catching the candlelight. “A succubus who has graciously agreed to discuss her…methods, ethics, and cultural significance in contemporary infernal studies.”

You bow, letting your horns glint off the candlelight mischievously. “It is a pleasure. I do try to be ethical when tempting mortals, though I admit…it’s hard to resist a well-prepared scholar.” Your tail flicks in the silence for emphasis, and Terzo snorts in sheer delight.

“You see, your kind tends to get a bad rep-“ Perpetua continues, hands clasped over the notes in his lap. “Manipulation, seduction…it’s the stuff of folklore. How do you reconcile these types of stories with the reality of your existence?”

“Ah, reality.” You purr at him, leaning forward ever so slightly so the candlelight catches the shimmer in your wings. “Reality is flexible. Perceptions even more so. I may seduce, yes…but only if the conversation is engaging.” You glance pointedly at Terzo, who chuckles and winks at you. “Or if the company is particularly intriguing.”

Perpetua clears his throat, shaking his head almost as if to straighten out his own thoughts. Pinching the bridge of his nose he continues. “The subject is…scholarly, not flirtatious.”

“Of course.” You reply smoothly “though I find academic curiosity can be just as…stimulating.” The smile on your face is harmless but the swish of your tail betrays the implication, making Terzo practically cackle into the notepad on his lap.

“Tell me.” Perpetua presses you, his voice taut “How do you balance an ethical line? How do you decide which mortal to…influence?”

You lean back slightly, just enough to let your wings graze the edge of the table. “Ah, well…I observe. I test. I gauge consent, curiosity, and…desire.” Your glowing eyes flick towards Terzo, who is now practically bouncing in his seat. The energy he lets off is deliciously addictive and charming. “And sometimes,” you add with a small smirk forming on your lips “I let them discover it themselves.”

Terzo laughs loudly, practically tipping over in his chair. “I really like this guest already. Very…hands-on with research.” He winks at Perpetua, who audibly sighs in return, the sound like a soft breeze dancing through old cathedral windows.

“Your species has been noted for their influence on human emotion and-“ Perpetua starts, then stops as you lean closer, tail gently brushing his notes. “Yes, exactly.” You murmur, voice low and teasing. “Influence. Persuasion. All harsh sounding words but, really, it is just…conversation.”

Terzo claps a hand down on the table.
“Conversation! That’s what we’re doing! Academic, stimulating conversation!” His grin widens across his face as he glances at you. “Do you do workshops? Interactive lessons? Anything of the sort?” His hopeful gaze is endearing and you can’t help but let out a small laugh. The sound like chimes in a cathedral tower. He’s enthralled.

“I offer private seminars, yes. Some…more interactive than others. Though only few have the stamina to last the entire session.”

Perpetua groans quietly into both hands. Very obviously torn scandalized propriety and unwilling fascination. “I should remind everyone, this is…educational. Mostly.”

“Oh, I’m very educational.” You assure him, leaning back just enough for your horns to glimmer again. “I even bring notes…sometimes, written in blood for effect.” You glance at Terzo, as his laughter fills the room. “Though, of course, I keep it all metaphorical.”

The conversation continues on in this rhythm. Perpetua’s careful scholarly inquiries countered by Terzo’s chaotic delight- while your responses walk the perfect line of charm, with, intellect, and a teasing allure that charges the energy on the room. By the end of recording, you’ve successfully rattled Perpetua’s composure entirely, left Terzo grinning like a little kid in a candy shop, and made the concept of interviewing a succubus fascinating rather than frightening. But as soon as the microphones are switched off, the energy shifts.

The studio is dim, candlelight casting long shadows across the room. Terzo leans back in his chair, grin wide and playfully mischievous, eyes glinting as he studies you head to toe. “Well,” he murmurs, voice low, dripping in velvet. “now that the mics are off… let’s see how well you really handle an audience.”

Your tail curls around the edge of his chair, brushing lightly against his wrist, the contact deliberate, teasing. Your wings flex subtly behind you, catching the flickering candlelight and sending shadows dancing across the table. You smile, a slow, knowing smile. “I was hoping you’d say that,” you murmur, leaning closer so the warmth of your body brushes his arm.

Terzo’s hands move with deliberate curiosity, tracing along the curve of your wing and the line of your back, coaxing out a shiver that isn’t entirely from the candle’s warmth. You lean into him, letting your horns glint in the soft light, a silent signal of playful dominance. “Careful,” you tease, “I do tend to get… persuasive when someone’s this attentive.”

He chuckles, low and rough, sliding a hand along your side. “Attentive? You have got no idea.” His laughter is more breath than sound, only further punctuated by the flick of your tail teasingly against his chest. The studio is small, the space charged with heat and scent — faintly musky, faintly sweet — and every brush of your skin sends sparks flying between you, charging the atmosphere.

“Terzo,” Perpetua’s voice cuts through, calm but firm, though there’s a tension- not hidden well at all-underneath that makes you smile. He’s lingering by the doorway, robe clasped tightly, notes forgotten on the table. “This is… highly irregular.”

You glance at him over your shoulder, tail curling suggestively, wings spreading just enough to shimmer in the candlelight. “Professor,” you purr, voice soft and teasing, “I assure you, it is… entirely educational. Practical experience, after all, is invaluable.”

Perpetua shifts, gaze flicking between Terzo and you. His composure is brittle; you can see it in the way a flush is creeping up his neck, the way his hands grip his notes too tightly. “I—this is… research,” he murmurs, trying to anchor himself in logic. Yet his eyes betray him — they follow your every curve, every subtle movement, the soft undulations of your tail, the flutter of your wings.

Terzo leans closer, lips brushing against your ear in a whisper. “You’re far too good at this,” he murmurs, voice thick with amusement. His hands slide lower along your back, fingers teasing along your waist, and your wings flutter in response, the sensation sharp and electric.

You let out a soft laugh, brushing your fingers through his hair, tugging gently so his head tilts back, heterochromatic stare meeting the glow of your gaze. “Oh, I’ve had quite a bit of practice,” you murmur, tail swishing possessively around his arm. “But don’t worry… I only get as persuasive as the situation allows.”

Terzo groans, breath catching, but you’re not done yet. Slowly, deliberately, you lean against him, your wings pressing softly against his shoulders, your tail curling further up his arm, the contact intimate, teasing, impossible to ignore. His hands respond instinctively, exploring along the lines of your body, and you hum softly, encouraging, coaxing.

Then Perpetua steps closer, clearing his throat faintly, voice trembling slightly. “I—this is… most improper, yet… instructive,” he says, his scholarly mask slipping as he watches. The corners of his mouth twitch; his eyes are dark, alive, caught between shock, fascination, and something far warmer.

You glance over at him, smirk curling your lips. “Professor, there’s nothing improper in observation,” you murmur. “One learns as much by watching as by… participation.” Your tail flicks toward him, a teasing invitation, and your wings shift, brushing the back of his robe in a deliberate caress.

Perpetua swallows audibly, stepping closer until he’s near the table, leaning forward, notebook forgotten, fully engrossed. His gaze roams, intense but careful, drinking in every flick of your tail, every flex of your wings, every subtle movement that Terzo’s hands provoke. You lean toward him slightly, enough to make him shiver. “Curiosity is a virtue, Professor,” you whisper, voice low and honeyed. “And I find it… rewarding to encourage it.”

Terzo chuckles, moving behind you, pressing close as he trails hands along your curves, fingers teasing over the soft fabric covering your hips. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen him like this,” he murmurs in your ear, clearly enjoying the chaos of Perpetua’s internal struggle.

You lean back, tail swishing teasingly around Terzo’s wrist, wings fluttering in gentle agitation, watching Perpetua carefully. “Observation can be… highly educational,” you murmur, stepping slightly closer to him, letting just the brush of your hand against his arm make his breath catch.

The tension in the room coils tight, warm, electric. Terzo’s hands roam, exploring, testing, and you respond with soft hums, light shivers, subtle arches of your back. Perpetua watches, body taut, mind racing, caught between discipline and desire.

Hours could pass like this, the studio a private seminar of whispered words, soft touches, and teasing glances. Every flick of your tail, every flutter of your wings, every breathy murmur builds anticipation, each papa experiencing your charm and presence in their own way.

Finally, as the candle flames gutter softly, Terzo leans back, breathless and laughing, satisfied with the “lesson,” while Perpetua remains standing, cheeks flushed, notes abandoned, utterly captivated. You glance between them both, smirk curling on your lips, wings folding with a soft shimmer. “I’d say that was… very instructive,” you murmur, tail flicking lazily. “I think we’ve all learned quite a lot tonight.”

And in the quiet aftermath, the promise lingers — of further individual private lessons, more intimate experiments in persuasion and curiosity, and the undeniable thrill of having two papas utterly enthralled by a succubus who knows exactly how to command attention.
