The last couple of weeks haven’t been going well for Katie. Her and Ewron are having one of their usual fights but it feels..? Different in some way- like they won’t be able to go back to acting like everything’s normal again. Katie hasn’t been able to talk to a lot of people lately either.
Schlatt is usually doing something to the island or watching some sports channel, it’s not abnormal for her to not talk to him for extended periods but it’s just- something feels… wrong.
Don hasn’t been talking to her much after she chose Multi and Nacho over her brothers.
Ash slowly has slowly started getting more and more distant from Katie as well, ever since she chose that… Federation egg she calls her “son” over him and Don, was marrying a Fed not enough for her? She had to go and co-parent with fucking Multi!? He just can’t get behind that. Sure he feels a little guilty- she’s his big sister for god sake! But she did this to herself…
So that’s how Katie got here, walking Alone thinking about this dream she had. Something about a huge bomb dropping onto the island or something? She can only really remember fragments of it.
“God… human minds are so simple- so… forgetful…”
She says- to no one in particular of course.
“Hm?”
Katie jumps from where she decided to sit against a tree turning around to see- Ewron. What’s he doing here!? God this guy can’t leave alone!
“What do you want Ewron.”
Katie asks- quite impatiently Ewron notes.
“Well I originally came to tease you but now I’m interested in what you said! Are you going crazy with all of that isolation Katie? Dehumanisation… wow! Didn’t think you’d break this much! Don’t go spouting that stuff around others though- they’ll think you’re insane!”
“Don’t talk to me. You have other things to do no? Maybe you should get started on being productive.”
Ewron was used to her sass- rolling his eyes he turns around walking out of the forest- towards the centre of town throwing one last thing over his shoulder.
“Maybe I should tell people you’re going insane!”
With that he walked away- Katie watching him leave.
‘Whatever’ Katie thinks to herself. Most people have stopped hanging around her anyway- apart from Mike but she doesn’t see him much anymore unless he’s showing her something about the KFC. The stupid KFC…

It took Katie around half an hour to get up and go walk around again. Perhaps she’ll get a drink from Graf’s pub. It’s gotten pretty late- so that could mean either one of two things- it’s insanely busy with people celebrating finishing some work- or it’s slow and quiet. Katie’s hoping it’s the latter though with her luck she doubts it.
As Katie walks she listens to the crunching of leaves beneath her feet. ‘Seasons on earth are beautiful…’ she thinks to herself. She adores the change in seasons- whether it’s so hot people meet up to go swimming at the ocean or it’s so insanely cold that people are wearing these huge puffy jackets with thick long pants. Whether it’s baby birds chirping in the tree’s or the falling of auburn leaves, everything is so magical to her.
After what seems like an eternity she makes it to the pub- sitting down at the bar. She looks around to see if anyone here which surprisingly- there isn’t! Graf comes around and gets her, her order of anything Graf wants beer! Which is literally just him giving you any kind of beer. Though as she finally gets her order- she hears the bell at the door go off signalling the arrival of another person and or people. Looking back she spot’s the black curly hair and glitchy purple particles ‘Shit! Out of everyone..?’ They both seem to make eye contact with Ash breaking it almost immediately Ash is joined with Tubbo the engineer for the regime, he’s a nice guy from what Katie pieced together through their limited interactions.
Katie is technically still apart of the Regime but she hasn’t been around there for a while- mainly cause of the strain in her and Ash’s relationship. Tubbo seems to notice the tension in the room- so does Graf, Tubbo ever the joyful one comes over to greet Katie- dragging Ash along with him.
“Hey Katie!”
The boy seems to say enthusiastically…
“Hey Tubbo. Ash.”
Katie nods at the both of them finishing her beer signalling for Graf to get her another
“Why are you guys here?” Katie wonders.
“I invited Ash out to get some drinks! Along with a couple of others as well!”
Just as Tubbo says that Haiper and Don walk in- Accompanied by Ewron who by the looks of their expressions tagged along last minute for- like no reason
“Tubbo let’s just go somewhere else-“
Ash whispers loud enough for Katie to hear
“Of course…”
Katie mutters
“What was that?”
Ash asks slightly offended.
“I said of course- all you do is run from your problems don’t you.”
Katie raises her voice slightly hitting a nerve.
“Excuse you? I’m the leader of the regime! I get your mad that your decision was so stupid that I don’t wanna talk to you anymore but you don’t get to say that!”
“Right now ash it looks like I made the right decision!”
Tubbo- realising things aren’t gonna get better slowly backs up form the duo. Bumping into Don- who seems ready to intervene whenever.
“Oh really!? Really Katie!”
Ash scoffs
“Yeah! Really! Anytime someone doesn’t agree with your view on things you give them the cold shoulder! Maybe I was right to choose someone who doesn’t do that!”
“You chose a federation member and Multi! Multi.”
Katie stands up abruptly ready to start something. Luckily Don pulls the two apart before anything can happen.
“Enough both of you! What the hell is up with you lately Katie! Ash is right! Why’d you choose them over us!”
“Cause that’s my family!”
“We’re your family! As well!”
“Clearly not anymore!”
That seemed to hit somewhere in Ash cause suddenly there was a burning sensation on Katie’s cheek. Causing her to put her hand up to her cheek. Everything seemed to freeze in that moment- what the hell had just happened? Don looked at Ash like he’d gone mad. Katie hadn’t reacted- not yet atleast. Graf, haiper, Tubbo and Ewron seem to hold their breath’s though- it looks as if Ewron were enjoying this.
Seconds tick by before the shock of getting slapped wears off and right now- all Katie feels is anger, she doesn’t understand what she’d done wrong! She chose her child and her child’s father! She didn’t say she loved them anymore then she loved her brothers but… that didn’t matter apparently.
Ash seemed to freeze for a moment after hitting Katie, He looked up at Don wide eyed before he looked back to Katie
“I Katie-“
Katie was frozen, she didn’t bother fighting back with anger- if she did everything would be ruined. And that’s the last thing she wanted.
Ash reluctantly went to grab her he felt awful.
“Katie I-“
His hand was smacked away
Katie refuses to look up as she hit his hand away
“It’s fine Ash.”
putting some money on the bar for Graf, Katie gets up and walks out the door putting extra force in it causing the frame to rattle.
Tubbo and Haiper were startled- Ewron of course with the amount of times Katie has stormed out while having an argument with him was not startled in the slightest.

Hearing the door shut Don whips his head around to face Ash
“Why’d you slap her man!?”
“I didn’t mean to- I… I was just mad okay! She knows how against the federation I am! And she still chose one of them over us! Why’d she do it Don!?”
“I don’t know why okay! But that doesn’t mean i just go hitting her! Go apologise Ash!”
“I will! Okay… I don’t know where she’s gone though!”
“Then you better go looking for her!”
Tubbo, Haiper and Ewron are still standing in the back just by the door. Watching Ash bpabout to leave he blurts out
“I’ll help!”
Immediately Don tries telling him not to- but of course once Tubbo sets his mind on helping someone it’s quite hard to deter him. Silently Ash and Tubbo go for their venture to search for Katie.
They check Schlatt’s island- not there. They check the kfc- Not their either. They check her HQ- not there either!
“God where is she! She left the pub like- 10 minutes ago!”
Ash shouts in anger. Up until this point neither him or Tubbo had spoken.
“I’m sure she’s just used her warp to get somewhere further away…”
“Like where!? She’s usually somewhere near spawn!”
“Well- there is one place she might be…”
“Where- No! Absolutely not Tubbo I’m not going anywhere near there!”
“It’s the most plausible place for her to be right now! Maybe- maybe if we get Ewron to bring us it could be less um… awkward trying to get around?”
“I- Fine! But if she’s not there I’m taking away all your stupid little electric stuff”

“You think Multi allows me anywhere near his reactor? Look- I can bring you around to the polish cave but you probably can’t get to where Multi’s half of the place is.”
“that’s fine! Right Ash?”
Tubbo says as enthusiastic as always, turning to face Ash
“Whatever… let’s just go.”
“Uh-uh- before that! You will owe me something in return!”
“I- what!?”
“You heard me”
Ewron says his stupid grin evident on his face
“No way in hell!- Tubbo we’ll find her ourselves.”
“Okay…”

The two teleported to the polish cave and begun searching for Katie- and by searching to was more like screaming her name to see if she’d come out.
“Katie! Are you here?”
No response
“Katie!”
This went on for around 20 minutes before they ultimately gave up.
“God this is stupid! I’ll just apologise to her when I see her next.”
“We could go to the church and see if she’s there just in case!” Tubbo said trying to keep Ash from blowing a fuse.
“I doubt it, she hates Ewron’s guts why would she go to his church.”
Tubbo- in response shrugged
“It’s a calm place…? Away from most the island”
“Whatever let’s just check”
Ash says impatiently grabbing out his warp stone, Tubbo following pursuit.
As ash gets to the church he starts looking around the outside before heading in. To no avail he finds nothing.
“Let’s just head inside”
He says turning to Tubbo and walking past him in to the church. To Ash’s surprise she’s actually there! Kneeling infront of a statue that he’s literally never seen…?
“Katie!”
With Ash yelling her name she startlingly looks up falling out of her kneeling position.
“Ash?”
“Uh- Don told me I should apologise for you know…. Hitting you?”
“Don told you to apologise? So you’re only here cause Don told you to do it.”
“I- no! I worded that wrong…”
Katie stands up. Did she somehow get taller?
“Look just- I’m sorry Katie”
“Are you sorry for what you did or do you just want it off your conscience?”
With that she gets up and walks out leaving Ash stunned
“God you are so irritating!”
Ash blurts out causing Katie to turn around
“So I was right. You were only here cause Don told you to be.”
“Maybe I was!”
Ash says in anger
Tubbo turns to him in a panic
“You’re meant to be apologising not making it worse!”
“It wouldn’t be worse if it weren’t for her being so…. Let’s just go Tubbo!”
“No! Go apologise!”
“Fine! Katie I’m sorry for hitting you”
Ash says as if it were another chore he had to check off the list.
“Mhm.”
Katie replies.
“Mhm? That’s it!? Why can’t you just accept my apology!”
“Because you slapped me across the face and only apologised when
Don told you to! If you’re gonna apologise I want you to mean it!”

With all the commotion coming from the church- Ewron who was fixing something close by came to check on what’s happening
“Who’s yelling in my church!”
Ewron says walking through the entrance spotting Katie and Ash at each other’s throats and Tubbo all the innocent bystander standing back not wanting to get caught in the cross fire.
“I thought they were supposed to work it out?”
Ewron says walking up to Tubbo
“They were! But… they’re both so stubborn…”
“They aren’t even actually related why are they both exactly like eachother…”
With that Tubbo shrugs watching the two go at it.
“Maybe I wouldn’t be this mad if you didn’t make an idiotic decision!”
“It was my decision that both side’s gave me! How am I supposed to pick between that ash! It’s like someone telling you to pick between your daughter and your siblings!”
“Don’t bring her into this! That’s nothing the same!”
Ash somehow manages to raise his voice even more causing Ewron and Tubbo to flinch.
“How isn’t it the same ash! I had to choose between my son and my siblings!”
“He’s a fucking egg! He’s a federation spy Katie! It’s not the same thing and he’s certainly not your son!”
“He is my son!”
“No he’s not!”
While they go back and forth Tubbo takes out his communication device and texts Don to come to the church because quote on quote “They are like two wild animals fighting over a piece of food” which Tubbo thinks is accurate for this..situation…
As Don gets the message his face hardens in annoyance taking his way stone out and teleporting to the church.
“God you’re just so.. Annoying!” Katie says yelling- and holy shit was it loud it was like a banshee’s wail!
Not only that- were those wings!?
“K-Katie..?”
“I mean seriously Ash do you look at anyone’s perspective!?” Katie hasn’t seemed to realise anything yet.
“Mother of all…”
Ewron mutters loud enough for Tubbo to hear
“H-huh!? Like the deity?”
Don seems to decide this was a perfect moment to walk in- except instead of yelling he see’s three shocked faces an angry Katie with wings on her back and head wings on- well her head. What the fuck
Did he miss?
“Katie…?”
“What Don!?”
Katie says opening her eyes to ultimately see- feathers. Feathers!? ‘Shit… SHIT!’ Katie thinks moving them out of her face only to see everyone’s insanely shocked faces.
“What the fuck…
Ash mutters
“You’re a Deity!?”
Tubbo blurts out. Causing Ash and Don to stare at him like he’s crazy
“What are you talking about Tu-“
Don gets cut of by Ewron quickly running up to her in awe
“Mother of all…”
Oh my god the deity he’s been praising was Katie- oh shit. He’s been beefing with a Deity what the fuck is wrong with him!?
Katie on the other hand looks insanely embarrassed. People knowing you’ve got wings sure whatever- people knowing you’re a freaking deity!? Not cool this is the most embarrassing thing ever! This tops everyone getting food poisoning at her kfc.
“D..deity! What!! You guys are crazy…”
Katie says watching Ewron touch her wings and circle around her as if she were some magical thing he’s just come across. Which she guess’s the first parts true..
“Oh my god I’ve been arguing with a deity!”
Ewron says putting his hands on his head in anger pulling his hair slightly. In all honesty Ewron always thought she looked eerily similar to the mother of all statue he had in the church.
“Katie-“
Don walks towards her looking at her-
Katie looks at him tears in her eyes- ‘why is she crying!?’
Don thinks, causing him to hug her
“Why are you crying..?”
“I don’t know!”
Katie says pulling ash closer
Ash speaks up walking closer god now he feels awful watching her cry- even if it wasn’t because of him.
“Look Katie I didn’t want to make you mad okay…? I just wanted to come here to apologise. And mean it but I guess that didn’t go to plan..”
Tubbo grabs Ewrons arm trying to yank him away from Katie so the three could talk. Ultimately Ewron leaves extremely conflicted on whether he actually should or not he should actually leave.
Katie sits down on the steps of the church leading to the altar, Don sits down next to her. Ash left standing spots the statue in the church and holy shit it was literally Katie- I guess there really isn’t any denying she was a deity. The three sat in silence for a bit before Don decides to speak up.
“Look Katie- I know we aren’t blood siblings or anything but there’s always been this one memory in the back of my mind of little girl with strawberry blonde hair- wings and cool horn.”
He looks up at her forehead- more specifically the star shaped birthmark that seemed to be glowing a bit.
“I didn’t know who she was but when I had first met you it felt like a missing puzzle piece I found by mistake one day that fit perfectly into a missing spot. The same with Ash- I had always had a single memory of a boy with curly black hair and purple glitchy… pixels? Around his eyes. Meeting him and seeing those pixels was like when you finish something and the entirety of a small part of it had come together. I don’t know where those memories were- but all I know is that we were close- extremely.
Realising he was rambling a bit he back tracks-
“Look what I’m trying to say is- no matter what happens, if we lose our memories again we will all find our way back to each other, in every world, in every timeline and every universe. We’ll all be there. So this argument won’t have mattered in a few days anyway right? We are still your brothers and we won’t just leave you behind.”
Katie looks up her tears seemingly gone leaving just streaks of water down her cheeks. She looks over to Ash who’s still standing to the side awkwardly and they both make eye contact immediately bursting into laughter.
“Wow you’re so inspirational Don!”
Katie says hugging him suddenly her wings nearly hitting him. Ash ultimately decides to sit down patting Dons back, the both still laughing.
“Come on I’ve always been inspirational!”
Don says with a smile.

Having to explain Schlatt’s sudden winged tenant to him was- an experience. For one he opened the door impatiently ready to start a barrage of comments about how people should leave him alone until he spotted Katie-
“Uh-“
As they tried to explain it to him all he could say was.
“Remember when I had asked if it was your first time on this earth? I guess I was fucking right… look I don’t care about all this winged.. business just don’t make a ruckus. Or leave feathers over the island!”
With that he shut the door returning to his tv.
“That went well…?”
Ash says confused
“It went better than expected at-least”
Katie says happily.
