Chapter Text
An Shiraishi was an new student at Kamiyama High, she made sure she had everything she had packed in her backpack, since she didn't want to disappoint, it was her first time and all.
Her mother driving the car, was delighted to see her daughter so happy on her first day. At least she's out of her fathers hair, she was drinking alcoholic beverages behind his back and got grounded for an week.
"Excited, I see!" An's mom said, smiling as her GPS told her the instructions.
An was happy to know that she could have an fresh start. She had made sure that she wouldn't be the one to picked on, like in elementary.
See, ever since she started elementary, she had always gotten picked on what she loved. She even got made fun of her shoes, how else was she going to escape this hell?
Now, An was able to blend in with the others, hiding her nerdy interests as she looked out of the window. An saw tons of new people she hadn't met, she was excited, but had to keep her cool.
Continuing to look at the window, all of her surroundings didn't matter to her. What mattered was to be normal, and not get bullied.
"An!" Her mother yelled, "we're here, go and get your backpack and head out of here."
Happily, she grabbed her bag and headed out as she said. She began to smile hand shut the car door.
An began to look both ways before walking toward the school doors. She began to look at the students, some talking to their friends, others lazing around.
She took multiple steps before opening the door fully, and my god this high school was large. Lockers were all placed in the front, so she was following instructions that the teachers have emailed her beforehand until some girl came to help?
"Hey, I'm one of the student volunteers at Kamiyama High, are you having trouble finding your locker?" The girl asked, smiling.
An was annoyed at first, but could care less. "No, I don't for now." She said, kindly bringing down the conversation.
The volunteer student was disappointed, but understood and nodded as she began to find others to help. She quietly walked away, having her hands behind her back.
"Pft, didn't really need help." An said, under her breath. She began to unlock the locker by using the code her teacher texted her, and put her backpack, phone, and lunchbox in her locker and closed the door.
The bell began to ring, classes were starting! Luckily, her class was right around the corner and she easily walked over and got to class in time.
The first period was Math. To her, it was slightly confusing, but she can easily understand in seconds. As she began to take notes, she heard people talking about an girl.
"Oh, Akito! Isn't your sister apart of that volunteer thing?" An student asked.
"Yeah, I don't know why she even wants to help. She barley even comes out of her room, all she does is go on social media," Akito said, grinning.
"Yeesh, this girl sounds like an loser!" An thought, from what the orange-haired guy said, but began to focus on the math lesson instead of their small talk.
Minutes later...
Everyone in the class began to pack up and began moving to the next class. An was still curious of the orange-haired guy in her class.
As he began to start walking with his other friends, An tapped on his shoulder.
"Hey! I'm sure we haven't met before, I'm An Shiraishi! I'm new here, and thought we should... uh... hang-out after school!"
She said, greeting the classmate. She began to hold her hand out, expecting an handshake.
"The name's Akito, Akito Shinonome. I saw you with my sister, Ena. I'm pretty sure she's one of the volunteers. I once saw you getting approached by her earlier today."
"So THAT'S Ena, huh? She's pretty awkward for an first-timer." An thought, but kept to herself to be nice.He said, grabbing An's hand and shaking it kindly before letting go. He nodded, and slided an note to her before he left for his class.
Confused, she opened the note only to see an phone number on is, which was probably his. Akito's address was also listed, maybe they're going to hang-out there instead?
...
After school, 3:00 PM.
An had finally gotten out of school, she had made 1 new friend, and gotten an slight "enemy", but whatever. She had to call her mom to make sure she was fine with them hanging out.
Brrrr..brrr....
"Hey, honey! School just ended for you, did you make any new friends?" Her mom asked, kindly.
"Yeah, I did. This guy named Akito was pretty cool when I asked to hang out with him." An said, cheerfully.
"Is it okay if I can go hangout with him for like 2 hours?" She asked, curiously.
"Oh, sure! Just don't get into some weird stuff, ok?"
"Okay! Bye, see ya later!"
She hung up with excitement! No way, she was actually going to hang out with someone who actually liked her! God, she had been waiting for this for years!
As she was celebrating with joy, an person tapped her on her shoulder. She was frightened at first, shivering to the light touch.
An decided to turn around to get an better look, it was an spilt-dyed haired boy who was with Akito. They seemed to be friends, so she didn't mind.
"Oh, hello! What's your name? Mine is An, An Shiraishi." She said, greeting herself in an proper tone.
"Hey, the name's Toya. It's nice to meet one of Akito's newest friends, I hope we can also be friends too." He said, with an light smile. Having his hand out, expecting An to shake it.
An began to shake his hand, smiling as she let go and started to chat with him and Akito.
"Just an reminder, my sister's gonna be here. So, it might get an little annoying BUT just suck it up." Akito sighed, putting his hands in his pockets.
"Nah, nah. It's fine! I don't mind. After all you guys are siblings. " An said back, giggling.
Ena began to burst right through the two, tagging along with her pink-haired friend. They began to have an conversation loudly, talking about their newest posts and everything.
An was annoyed, but was more focused on getting to Akito's house instead.
She just hoped that nothing weird would happen, since any time she had tried to make friends, it always had an 90% chance of being doomed.
Despite the loud chit-chat beside her, she easily ignored it and continued to follow Akito to his house. She began to check the time, "4:05". It's only been 5 minutes, and so much is going on?! Geez, her life is sure eventful.
