There was something about her face.
Freckles.
She had been kissed by the sun. Her mouth breathed warmth from the outside.
She hadn’t grown up amongst books that the light could never touch.
Hideko swallowed around her finger.
Sook-hee.
She sighed in the night. She stared out the window.
Hideko had her own sun now; living beside her with her. The dark blue couldn’t touch them.
The waves were moving under them. Never against again.
Rays of light touching Sook-hee’s smile.
Sharing a kiss in the sun.
