Chapter 1: I Love You ?!

Chapter Text

"I love you", Jack said to his girlfriend as he stroked her white hair.

"I love you too" she said.

They were lying in bed, just looking at each other. He Stroked her porcelain skin and asked "Then why can't we take this to the next level?". She sighed at his question and said "I told you i'm saving myself for my soulmate".

" Fuck your soulmate, you know there is like a 1 in a 100 chance of you finding him" he said to that.

"I'll wait" she stated bluntly.

"Then what the fuck do you think 'I love you' means, why am I even here" he said to her.

"Look Jack i'm not going to have sex with you and if that's the only reason you're here then you can get the door" she replied.

"No, I love you and don't want this to be about sex, you're in a relationship with me and you are holding on to this image of this guy that you may or may not ever meet, and i'm just supposed to be okay with that." Jack said to her.

"Why do you hate the idea of finding soulmates, so much huh, what's your problem with me having a little faith", she said. Jack was going to open his mouth but she continued " Is it because your mom settled for your dad", she accused.

Jack at a loss for words got up and said "I can't believe you would say that, Rita".

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it" Rita defended.

"YES, YOU DID", he yelled.

"It just shows me how you really feel about me, you think i'm messed up because my parents aren't soulmates" he accused.

Rita opened her mouth to defend herself but Jack continued "You think you're so high and mighty because you believe in something, anyone can believe in something, just because my parents aren't soulmates doesn't mean that they're love is real and genuine".

Jack went to the door and walked out.

^^^^

Jack stormed into his home, feeling rage and sadness. "MOM?!"

"Jack, why are you yelling" his mother replied.

"Its Rita, she was saying all this stupid shit to me about how you can only find true love with your soulmate and I think it's over between us" Jack said as he began to cry.

Jack's mother sighed as she walked over to him "You really shouldn't have to worry about what people say because of the decision me and your father made"

"Do you ever regret it?"

"No, never"

"Why?"

"Because if I didn't choose love over destiny, I would have never had you and I have no idea where I would have been or who he/she is or if I would have ever found them, All the greatest things I have today are because of my decision, so i'll never ever regret it"

Jack started crying even more but out of happiness. He hugged his mom tightly until he stopped crying.

"You're right screw soulmates i'll find someone who loves me for me not just because we were made for each other" Jack said looking determined

"Oh, Jack that wasn't what I was trying to say, i'm simply saying you fall in love with who you fall in love with, i'm not saying abandon something lots of people strive for, just live in the moment and fall in love, you shouldn't let the things your dad and i made influence who you think you should fall in love with" Jack's mother clarified but he still didn't look any less determined.

She sighed "Just promise your mama if your soulmate comes along don't decide anything until you get to know them alright"

"I promise" Jack said with his fingers crossed behind his back and a convincing smile. His mother smiled back and made her way into the kitchen. Jack made his way to his room and started to text Rita.

J: Hey

He put his phone down to the side and lied down waiting for a reply, fortunately he wouldnt have to wait long as she texted him back.

R: I'm soooooooo sorry baby :( :(

He read the text and carefully thought of what he should do next. He could except her apology and move on from the fight they had, he did love her and she could infact be the one but on the other hand she brought up personal things like not being sure about his parents relationship being legit and threw it in his face like she didnt even care aboit him, and she has said multiple times that he will never be enough for her. Thinking all about just made angry again. He swiftly typed back.

J: I thought I was ready to talk but i'm still not over what you said to me in your room

Jack put his phone to the side again and decided to take a nap, he dozed off easily not realizing how exhausting the day had already been.

^^^^

"Jack, wake up" Jack's mother said as she shook him awake. He stretched his arm out over his head and grabbed his phone and looked at the white numbers on the gray screen '4:25', he had only slept for an hour and then his eyes scrolled the massive amount of texts from Rita.

R: Please talk to me

R: I know I fucked up but please we can get through this

R: I love you

R: If you reply back I'll give you something special *winky face, kissy face, and eggplant*

R: Okay now i'm pissed, reply back

R: How are we going to work anything out if you shut me out

R: Text me back when you decide you want an adult relationship *peace sign*

Jack laughed to himself at her dramatics and turned to his mom looking at her questionably.

"Whats up mom" Jack said.

" I need you to run a grab me some stuff from the store down the block" she replied holding a list to his face.

"Okay" Jack said grabbing the list and making his way to the store.
