Work Text:

It had been two months since he had last seen her.

Two months since she had to leave to teach a pathology class in America.

Or in Sherlock's case; 60 days, 1460 hours, 87600.1 minutes.

After two long months were up, with Sherlock constantly checking the time and date, the Detective now stood at the airport terminal with a bouquet of blood red roses in his hands.

Sherlock stood awkwardly in the terminal, eyes looking up at the screen displaying the arrivals and departures, waiting.

He didn't like waiting.

But he would wait for her. And only her.

After what seemed like hours to Sherlock but was only a mere few minutes, a flood of people soon appeared with their luggage. Sherlock began to move forward with slow steps, desperate to see her. He dodged past some of the passengers and eventually her saw her.

Molly.

He smiled.

Then Molly looked straight at Sherlock, a bright smile forming on her face. As she saw him, her speed began to increase as she began to run towards Sherlock, her luggage left behind. After a few seconds, Sherlock held out his arms and soon Molly had lunged towards him. Sherlock's arms wrapped around her waist as Molly legs wrapped around Sherlock's waist and her arms wound tightly around his neck.

"Missed you." Sherlock mumbled, his head against her shoulder.

Molly smiled. "I missed you too."
