The grass was rustling from the gentle breeze of spring the air, the sky was now dark and all Jolyne and Wes could see were the stars. Parked at the top of the grassy hill was Jolyne's van, the both of them laid in the back, gazes focused on the beautiful night before them. Neither of them spoke, all that could be heard was the gentle breeze, however it didn't bother them, it's as if their silence was somehow understood by one another.
Their hands were intertwined and neither wanted to let go, they wanted this moment to last, they wanted to be at peace. If time could stop, they would want it to stop right now, cherishing this moment forever.
Wes turned his gaze over to Jolyne, she was breathtaking in his eyes, he loved Jolyne she was everything to him. She gently turned her head to look at Wes, her eyes were reflecting the starry sky, if looks could kill, Wes would already be dead from her beauty.
"Whats wrong?" she asked in a low gentle tone.
Wes untwined his hand from hers, leaning closer to her and in a soft tone he replied "I love you Jolyne."
Jolyne was caught off guard for a moment, she adored when Wes reassured her that he did in fact love her, but she couldn't reply properly. Her emotions got the better of her. Tears began to build up, Wes could see how much that meant to Jolyne. He gave her a warm gentle smile while he brought up his hand up to her cheek, wiping away her tears.
Jolyne was melting, words could not explain how much she cared for him, how much she loved him. Wes was everything to her. She brought her hand to touch his, she wanted him to continue to touch her, "Don't leave, please..." she said in a low whisper.
Wes was surprised from what she just said, smiling once again he moved her head so they could make eye contact, "I will never leave you." he replied with certainty.
"Promise?" Jolyne asked, her tone a bit louder and her eyes glistening.
"I promise." He replied, reassuring her.
Wes noticed how Jolyne closed her eyes and leaned a bit closer, he couldn't help but let out a low chuckle she was adorable. Leaning in he gave her a gentle kiss, her lips were soft and warm, everything about Jolyne he loved more than ever, he cherished her.
After the kiss he let Jolyne go so he could sit up properly, turning to his side, he gave her one more smile. Jolyne avoided eye contact however, continuing to look at the stars. She let out her tears, all of her emotions out, Jolyne finally looked at Wes smiling at him.
"Liar."
