Oh, I'd love to recommend some stories because I think it's always great to push some that need a little more love. And then some are just such staples for me and I've read all of them quite a few times. These are not in any particular order, just possibly in the quite chaotic order my brain works. :P None of these are WIP and I've added the fandom so you can pick what you like (though I recommend just being a little adventurous!).
1. Induction Time by ifthatisyourrealname
Info: The Repair Shop, ~ 14.8k, Teen and Up, M/M, Dominic Chinea/William Kirk
Summary: Induction Time: The period of time between mixing of two component products and the moment they can be used. Or, how Will learned to stop worrying and to trust the process.
Review: I absolutely love this story and have read it about two to three times a week over the last few weeks. It's just brilliantly showing the slow simmer between the characters and how they come together. Especially because the author writes with so much love for the characters and it absolutely shows. The little details, which people who love the TV show will recognise (but will not be confusing to people who don't know the show), make all the difference. Also, this story absolutely turned me around and I actually now prefer to ship this pairing (as I've not been doing before reading ifthatisyourrealname's work). And while everything about this is so lovely and absolutely wholesome, I can also recommend it because there's a little h/c in it, where you hold your breath and just hope everything's going to be fine. The perfect blend imho - and you can read it even if you don't really know the TV show, I believe. Leave the author some love, I think the story definitely deserves more recognition.
2. No See Long Time by ifthatisyourrealname
Info: The Repair Shop, 1.453, Explicit, M/M, Dominic Chinea/William Kirk
Summary: They've got some catching up to do.
Review: Yes, the second story by ifthatisyourrealname that I'll recommend. Way shorter and spicier than Induction Time but so satisfying. Yet very cute and absolutely nailed the two characters, in my opinion.
3. and returns again... by chaosmanor
Info: The Lord of the Rings RPF, 5.194, Mature, M/M, Orlando Bloom/Viggo Mortensen
Summary: Some crises only poets create, and only poets provide rescue and recovery services for.
Review: I'll shamelessly plug the Viggorli Secret Santa Exchange because it's just always fun and we've done it for 13 years now. And this lovely story has been written for last year's exchange - since then I've read it probably about 10-15 times. It's just so absolutely lovely. The way chaosmanor describes the atmosphere during the whole story and the mood between Viggo and Orlando is just making my insides evaporate. Almost a bit of a pick-me-up when I feel down. I can't recommend it highly enough.
4. I try to keep it silent (but you can read my mind) by Maybethereshope
Info: 9-1-1: Lone Star, 7.730, Explicit, M/M, Carlos Reyes/TK Strand
Summary: It’s the sixth week after TK comes home–to their home–when he finally cracks. He’s been doing much better lately. His breathing treatments are further apart and the doctors say it won’t be long before he can stop them entirely. He doesn’t get winded going for a walk to the little corner store with the amazing deli twice a week. He’s even able to do a passable weight lifting routine in the living room (nothing like his usual routine from when he was an active firefighter, but still it’s an accomplishment). His doctor has even cleared him for light duty, his first shift of which is Monday. But tonight is Friday, and TK is humming with an energy that has been making its presence known more explicitly with each passing day.
Review: Again, this is just very cute and so lovely. The insight into the characters gets me every time and I'm just a sucker for those kind of stories atm. Doesn't mean that everything's rosy all the time but in this particular instance, I really needed to read about them getting better after all they've been through. And the author has perfectly woven that into a great fic that could've otherwise probably easily veered into a PWP.
5. Get What We Want by SailorChibi
Info: Sherlock, 5.846, Explicit, M/M, Sherlock Holmes/John Watson and Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade
Summary: Sherlock, John, Greg and Mycroft are on a case together. Just when John thinks things can’t get any worse, the motel loses their reservation and only has two rooms available. He and Greg think they might finally have a chance to seduce the Holmes brothers until Sherlock decides he and Mycroft are going to share a room instead. John and Greg aren’t having it. They’re going to get what they want, regardless of whether (or maybe because) they all end up in the same bed. Not a foursome per se, but features John and Sherlock having sex in the same bed as Mycroft and Greg... who are also having sex.
Review: It's mostly just sex. Well, at least it's sort of sweet and funny, the characters are on point and I do love how the author has picked up on some small quirks the characters have. So it's basically awesome sex. :P And what I specifically love about this story is the way those two pairings interact with each other, without implying too much more (which I'm not against but for this particular story I found very fitting).
6. Yeah, You Should Say It by orphan_account
Info: Star Trek: Alternate Original Series (Movies), 1.865, Explicit, M/M, James T. Kirk/Leonard McCoy
Summary: A shameless attempt at writing Daddy kink, wherein Bones is scared to ask for what he wants.
Review: If daddy kink doesn't deter you, this is such a lovely story! A dash of vulnerability and those two characters really come to life in what is essentially a PWP. I absolutely love this little fic. (I'm just glad the author left this story without deleting it completely, as I've just found out about another story... so go and enjoy this one!)
7. It takes a Village (series) by Bellakitse
Info: 9-1-1: Lone Star, 60k, Explicit, 3 stories, M/M, Carlos Reyes/TK Strand
Summary: When TK Strand moves in with the Ryders he didn't know the move would lead to the love of his life, amazing friends and the family he's always wanted.
Review: I love this series so much! You could almost call it a slow burn but it just makes such a difference that the author takes all the time needed to flesh out the characters and give them the space to grow.
8. The Dangers of Alcohol by Spikedluv
Info: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 15.5k, Explicit, F/M, F/F, M/M, Multi, several combinations of Giles, Willow, Spike, Buffy
Summary: “Well, actually,” Willow hesitated, “it was...sort of a, um...accident.” “Accident? What, you slipped and fell into bed, naked, with Spike and...Giles?!”
Review: I've loved this story forever and ever, had it since 2003 and have reread it quite a few times. It's just sexy. Hot and sexy. What's not to like. ;)
9. Double Spiked by Kantayra
Info: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 62k, Explicit, F/M, Spike/Buffy Summers
Summary: When the nerdy trio delves into time travel, Buffy is faced with two Spikes at once. Will she be able to resist?
Review: I've read this forever ago and I can still remember how sexy it is! One Buffy and two times Spike?! Bloddy amazing and hot, hot, hot. Go and get your daily portion of smut. ;)
10. Hold Me by coffeebuddha
Info: Criminal Minds, 684, Teen And Up, M/M, Derek Morgan/Spencer Reid
Review: It's absolutely short but so very sweet. Such a soft little thing to immediately lose yourself in, which is why I've read it quite a few times.

This year and last year I've been participating in an awesome year-long fandom event: the Fanfic Reading Challenge which has given me an excuse to find, read (and reread!) so many amazing fic! In no particular order, here are 10 favs I've found doing the challenge.
(1) Minnesota, State of Mind
*a Modern AU-hockey player/dancer AU SanSan longfic*
*It has a ton of fun MN-related easter eggs and seeing SanSan navigate their budding relationship while balancing their mutual obligations is awesome!
(2) Stupid Games
*a Modern/University AU Dramione fic
*It's written from Hermione's perspective and details the extreme lengths Hermione goes to ignore Draco and Draco goes to get Hermione's attention after a 1 night stand. Hot AND hysterical!
(3) Double Jeopardy
*a Canon Divergent Valeanor (Vane/Eleanor) [Black Sails] fic
*Vane and Eleanor get their HEA, but not before they deal with their rocky past
*BONUS: the author has these TERRIFIC chunky author's notes detailing tons of the in-depth historical research they did to try to keep the events and characterizations as accurate as possible.

*an Indiana Jones x The Mummy (1999) crossover
*I'll admit it -- I'm a total sucker for the cheesy history jokes that start off each vignette
(5)Milieustudie
*a Charlotte/Gereon [Babylon Berlin] fic
*the tension between Charlotte and Gereon is perfect, but it's also interwoven with a murder case they're working on that showcases not only some of the sexism Charlotte deals with on the job, but also how she uses the fact that she's a woman to her advantage to help solve the case.
(6)Thank You for Your Donation to the Wayward Girls' Fund
*a Lost Girl x St.Trinian's crossover, epistolary fic
*if you are familiar with both fandoms, this fic is absolutely HYSTERICAL! Kenzi-centric with Kenzi receiving a "thank you" letter from Ms. Fritton detailing how Kenzi's donation will be used and all of the "benefits" that will accrue to her if she chooses to commit to a more consistent/ongoing donation schedule.
(7) Eleven
*a Brio Soulmate fic
*soulmates have their names etched on each other (a little angsty!)
(8)I'll Find You in the Morning Sun
*a RebelCaptain (Jyn/Cassian) [Rogue One] World War II AU fic
*the fic spans 1939 to 1945 and is very spot on for the period (including the American indifference prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor)
(9) The Girl
*a Jaqarya (J'aqen/Arya) Noir Detective AU
*Sansa hires J'aqen to find her "long lost" sister, Arya, but things are not entirely what they seem....
(10) Thunderheads
*an Annie/Auggie [Covert Affairs] fic
*Auggie is dealing with some PTSD from the IED explosion that lead to him going blind and Annie helps him get through it. Definitely a hurt/comfort fic, but soooooooo good!

Post-Snap World: A Journey Around a Mourning Public MCU, an excellent epistolary story set after the Age of Ultron.
edges of the world Justice Society, infinity Inc. Todd Rice, Alan Scott and coming out.
A Man Falls in a Hole Sandman. Fishbowl recovery fics are a dime a dozen but this one's an undiscovered gem.
it was a dream, but it was enough Sandman. Technically a fix-it fic for Nada but boy will it break your heart anyways.
Beneath the Surface Lord of the Rings. A poigiant little one-shot from a lotr fanfiction subgenre I like to call "Rangering is Hard"
weary the weight of gratitude Pacific Rim. Told from the POV of the fisherman saved in the beginning of the movie.
Rebels without a cause" Final Fantasty XV. " Prompto almost meeting other escaped/rescued MTs " really sums it up.
Door, Weighty Hades. This fic will give you feels about doors.
a grave, deep and narrow The Locked Tomb. GtN AU where Camilla's stranded alone a Canaan house. You weren't planning on using that heart anytime soon, right?
The Kindness of Strangers Sandman. Where Dream is rescued by nothing more than kindness of strangers.

I don't know if i'll come up with 10 recommendatuions but i do have some of my favourite stories on this website. So my recommendations are these ones:
Reckless abandon by robinbuckley: this is the latest story i've read and it's one of my favourites now. This is Gilmore Girls fic centered around Jess/Rory but also other couples as well. It was finished a year ago but there's suppossed to be a sequel (have no idea when). The storyline is that Lorelei gave Rory up for adoption after she was born and it takes them 16 years to find each other again. It's a very hard read but well worth it. But it ends on cliffhanger cause like i mentioned there's supposed to be a sequel.

The Secretary by Spectographer: this is an epic story centered around Donna/Harvey from Suits. If you liked this show and this couple then you should scheck it out. It's still ongoing but there's not much chapters left. It's post s6 AU and storyline is centered on Donna's past a lot but all other characters are also involved. This is a really good read but be prepared for a lot of twists and cliffhangers.

Battling Fate by Pegtastic: again Suits story centered around Donna/Harvey (i'm a fan of this show). This one was a rollercoaster for me because it's s7 AU. I'm not gonna spoil anything, just read it. But i will say that It's probably the best Suits and darvey story i read.

Personal Relationships by Evendale: it's a Money Heist serquel story but i assure you if you a fan of this couple you should read it. There's also a sequel Calculated Risks which is also good. Basically it's an AU because Raquel is a disgraced cop in this one when Professor recruits her to gang. One of my favourites.

Someday we'll be all that we need by gayicedlatte: this is probably the best story i've read in Ted Lasso fandom. This author is also considered to be the best in TedBecca fandom of this show. You should check all her other stories too if you're a shipper of this couple. But this particular story has everything the show didn't give us.

Ted gets picked to participate in British show Bake off and Rebecca is a judge there. Obviously it's a slow burn but from what i read it's really good.

Branching off from a canon incident in Rebuild 2 (Asuka kicking Shinji in the head for looking in her direction when she emerged from the bathroom naked), Asuka decides to make amends by asking Shinji to spank her for it.
What follows is a rich, emotional, characterful, and, yes, erotic journey through the evolution of what was supposed to just be a one-time spanking session into a loving relationship between the two pilots as they endure and confront challenges canonical and otherwise. Warm and loving.
2. Goddamned Teenagers by dc2008
Many years after Gold Morning, a de-powered adult Taylor Hebert is sent back in time to the start of the series, armed with the ultimate weapon: knowledge.
A series of vignettes follow as "Doctor Weaver" provides adult authority figures with advice on how to be less fail, and teenagers with advice on how to human safely.
3. Sith Lord Swell, by @AMournfulHowlInTheNight
Luke and his new Jedi order find an ancient artifact which throws them back in time to the timeframe of the prequels.
Luke proceeds to utterly sabotage the possibility of this timeline turning into his own by establishing a new, non-Banite Sith Order.
4. Love By Moonlight, or: How Usagi Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Her Senshi, by AVagueDownwardSaunter
in the wake of hurtful things being said at Rei's 21st birthday party, Usagi works with her Senshi to understand how to make things better than they were and allow herself to honestly love who she loves. Warm and loving. Sadly on a very long hiatus.
5. Taylor Varga, by mp3_1415player
Instead of becoming a host for the Queen Administrator shard, Taylor Hebert is granted the power of the Varga.
Nobody is ready for an infinitely variable dinosaur Taylor.
6. Princess kidnapped by Bagge
Post-canon, Catra plays the villain in Glimmer's damsel-in-distress scenario. Warm and loving and kinky.
7. ruin yourself (ecclesiastes 7:16) by yanderemonoma
This is a story about Asuka Langley Sōryū knowing more about sex than the people around her think she should, because of who Kaji Ryōji is. It is well-written and deliberately disturbing; read the tags first.
8. Comfort, Subspace, and Other Elusive Things by ZeeMcZed
Thoughtful college students explore how to love one another. Warm and loving.
9. Can Life Be Beautiful (Instead of Big Fun)? by WriterRiderDirtyThirties
A Heathers-inspired Luka/Adrien/Marinette fic, set in the final year of high school. Their relationship is not healthy, but it's not like it was ever likely to be with all that has happened to them. Read the tags first.
10. The Slime Pit and the Sorceress by KriegsaffeNo9
An interpretation of the Slime Pit from classic She-Ra, brought into modern She-Ra. Please be assured that it is very different in tone, outlook, and authorial attitude to the characters to a certain much older story, not on the Archive, with a very similar title. Again, read the tags first.

Hey! I mostly read aftg fanfic so this will all be fics of that lol. Here we go! Starting with a fun sweet little fluffy fic, https://archiveofourown.org/works/19769902/chapters/46799650 is called Bigger than a Hexidecimal. Do I understand the name? No. Do I care? Also no. It is one of my favorite fics and I am partial, (mainly because I dance ballet), but this is a cute au and a well written fic. Moving on, one of my absolute favorites and the first fic I read and enjoyed, https://archiveofourown.org/works/47014042/chapters/118438786 is a fic called Into the Deep. Not only is this fic beautifully written, the au lines up wonderfully and make you laugh, cry, and giggle and kick your feet. I highly suggest checking out the other works by this author as well. An AU where Danny breaks up with Steve and disappears from Steve’s life after receiving a terrible medical diagnosis, but he doesn’t have the strength to move too far away. My heart breaks a little at how Danny resolves to make it easier for those he loves by fighting the disease alone, but the happy ending makes it so worth it.
2. (“Agent Carter”) Lady of Value, A by Eienvine
Regency AU where Peggy's still a badass, and Daniel can't help but be drawn to her. It's long and lovely and filled with everything that’s needed in a perfect historical romance.
3. (“Band of Brothers”) Luckiest, The by harriet_vane
Nix meets Dick when Nix drunkenly breaks into Dick’s backyard and finds the grass over there so very soft. Dick brings him into the house, and Nix never really seems to leave. Nix is a bit of a hot mess, but he’s still perfect for Dick. It’s such an easy read that makes me happy every time.
4. ("Grimm") Hapless Trouble by brbsoulnomming
In this story, Hap lives another day (hooray!) to help (and unknowingly hinder) Monroe and Nick create their own little pack. The misunderstandings, the drunken phone calls, the love that is unrequited until Nick and Monroe get their act together! Fantastic story.
5. (“Band of Brothers”) Wherever the train takes me by allthislight
Wonderful Harry Potter AU where muggleborn Dick asks "what's a Weasley?", making Nix realize that Dick's going to need a lot of help when they get to school. This has everything needed for the perfect HP story: crushes and dedicated friends, loss and comfort, Quidditch accidents, chosen families, and a nice little brawl at a school mixer. I love it so much.
6. (“Band of Brothers”) oh your love is sunlight by acetheticallyy (patrickcorbins)
A present-day AU where Nix is a bit of an asshole, and so is his dog. Then they go to the dog park and meet a little family who doesn’t even seem to notice. Sweet and funny, with Nix (and his dog) being more adorable than they think they are and Dick’s family knowing a good thing when they see it.
7. (“Common Law”) Locked Windows by watanuki_sama
The first story in a quartet, a drunk Travis accidentally climbs through the wrong apartment window… then intentionally continues to visit his new friend Wes that same way, much to Wes’ initial annoyance. Lucky for Wes, Travis’ persistence starts to wear him down. Funny and adorable, it makes me simultaneously wish the show had lasted longer and feel grateful for the creation of the show in the first place. The entire series is worth the read, even if you’ve never heard of the show.
8. (“Lewis”) One Man's Noise by LyricaXXX (LyricaB)
James asks Robbie to describe different songs they encounter with one word. This is clever and heartwarming, and it’s such a pleasure to be right there while they wind their way into love.
9. (“Lewis”) One in Wolf-Skin by paperscribe
Robbie is bitten and turned into a werewolf. James won't let Robbie deal with it on his own. James gets to show his protective, nurturing side, and Robbie gets to be a bit of a badass. Through it all, they’re in it together. I love how they work through this as a team, getting together because they love each other, no matter what.
10. (“The Halcyon”) ghosts haunting hotel bars by VampireSpider
Two years after the season finale, Toby walks into Adil’s bar, reminding Adil that true love doesn’t wither with time, distance, or through difficult circumstances. Adil and Toby’s romance might be my favorite from all of my fandoms, possibly because it takes place during World War 2, possibly because Toby’s from a wealthy family who owns the hotel while Adil is the bartender, definitely because they’re both such sweet characters who just want to love each other. This story of them finding their way back to each other is perfect in every way.

I stumbled into this fanfic writer's work after posting on Reddit saying that the only fanfic that's all in lower case I'd consider reading would be for the early 20th century verse and short story series "archy and mehitabel" by Don Marquis. Lo and behold, a Google search turned up this author, who actually wrote stuff in this long-dead fandom.
There are two links, one to a collection of short vignettes titled "The Return of Archy the Cockroach":

I don’t see any representation for The Little Mermaid here yet. Since that’s what I spend most of my time reading and writing, I guess it’s my turn! Here are my top ten Ariel/Eric fics:
1. Voyages by Uncia
Set in an AU after Ariel and Eric kissed in the lagoon and she stayed on land with him but never got her voice back. They go out sailing together late at night and end up spending the night on the boat. This story is just so sweet and really nails their characters. I keep coming back to it, and it makes me melt every single time. It’s probably my all-time favorite.
2. Just You and Me by OzQueen
Post-canon, Ariel and Eric travel to visit the princess of Glowerhaven. Another case of perfect characterization. Ariel is adorable, and there’s plenty of great dialogue that will make you laugh.
3. A Way With Words by Sarf
An AU where Ariel follows her original plan to go up to the shore and meet Eric without becoming a human, and they start to fall in love. Some really interesting worldbuilding in terms of magic; definitely building up to something good. It’s still unfinished, but it’s one of my favorites and I can’t wait for more.
4. i’ll make this feel like home by An_Abudance_Of_Stories
Ariel and Eric help each other fall asleep: She sings to him, and he reads to her. Short but oh so sweet.
5. The Little Mermaid: Beyond the Shore by moviefan_92
The unofficial sequel to Return to the Sea that I always wished for. Set four years later when Melody is sixteen, it brings back old characters and introduces new villains: a pirate crew trying to unleash an ancient mythological evil upon the world. Long enough to be a novel, it’s a very worthy sequel with a well-thought-out plot and a perfect ending.
6. Seasons by localsportsteam
AU where Ariel is a human living in Eric’s kingdom. She and Eric fall in love, but all seems lost when he is betrothed to the princess of Glowerhaven. Ursula is also a human, and she will stop at nothing to gain power for herself. Very compelling, with a tightly woven plot and masterful symbolism.
7. fathoms below by gianirablossom
A retelling of The Little Mermaid from Eric’s perspective. Adds a ton of depth to the story, framing it in a new way. A long but extremely satisfying read.
8. Into the Sea by ami_ven
Very short post-canon scene where they are about to visit Atlantica, but first Ariel has to help Eric get comfortable breathing underwater. (What’s funny is that long before I read this, I had the exact same idea for that problem AND Ariel’s solution to it, but I never did anything with it! Oh well, I think this author probably executed it better than I could have.)
9. Bright Things by Penknife
A loose string of post-canon scenes. Ariel slowly adjusts to land; Eric never stops seeing the mermaid in her. Baby Melody makes an appearance. It’s hard to describe as a whole, but the writing has a sort of poetic feel that I really like.
10. Kiss the Girl by ChokolatteJedi
This AU is exactly what it sounds like: Eric kisses the girl in the lagoon, freeing her from the spell. (Another coincidence: I actually wrote my own version of this concept before I discovered theirs! We had different approaches, though.) Short, sweet, and satisfying.
