Chapter Text
Under the lights of the manor, there were two people staring at each other. The former queen of a fallen kingdom and the new face that is yet to be known.
"Your appearance, it rings a bell." the man said as he kept staring at the lady with dead eyes. "I am sorry, but I do not know who you are." the queen replied. "Hollow, who have you met out of the blue?" Cunning asked and gave a small grin. "Ah the queen, such an elegant beauty you have, miss!"
"I do not need such comments," the queen said before turning away, she didn't want to entertain them, she doesn't know why but she feels something wrong whenever she's with the two, she just doesn't know what. "I have other things to attend to." she added.
Cunning sighed and turned away. "Some things can never go the way we want them," he shrugged. "Oh well! At least there's free food! Come now Hollow! We need some energy! Time to gobble up!" Cunning was about to run off when he saw something wrong with Hollow. "Hollow?"
He saw the bottle Hollow was holding, a small piece of glass with something inside, liquid? Powder? A plant Could be all three. "Hollow, you're silent again." but Cunning saw how much he glares at the queen.
"I must destroy who destroyed our paradise." Hollow mumbled. "..paradise..? Wait Hollow!" Cunning was about to grab the man by his arm but he quickly ran off, summoning a dagger at his hand, raising it up and holding the queen down. Everyone gasped at the sudden scene made by the man in white.
"Hey! Cut it out! Okay everyone stay back!" True said while Requiem holds both of them away from each other. "What happened?!" True asked, Cunning went to her and apologized. "We are so sorry, Hollow has been very depressed since the day of his sister's disappearance."
"What does that have to do with me.." Last Dance groaned as she tried to stand on her feet without wobbling from fear of losing her head.
"He seems to find someone similar to you," Cunning paused. "The person who destroyed our paradise."
"Hm." and with that, Inference left the scene, going off towards where he was working, Recluse turned to Inference and shakes his head and turned back to everyone, as if he's doing this to observe.
"I want..to get my revenge." Hollow glared at the woman. "I think it is best for them to be in separate rooms." True said as she turned to both of them, Wujiu is guiding Cunning and Hollow out of there while Bi'an helps Last Dance to her room.
"I am so sorry for the inconveniences that has been caused for a while, for the meantime why don't we enjoy the little party and I'll handle these things with Cheshire." True smiled and pulled her trusty boy towards Cunning and Hollow.
"Okay explain what the hell happened," True said as she closed the door. "That was quite a scene." she added. Cheshire turned to Hollow and saw the bottle he's holding, he hasn't let go of it since the start, he starts to wonder, but he kept himself silent. What is so special about that bottle.
"May I be in service?" Cheshire turned to whoever said those words and saw Man in Red. "M'lord Mir!" True smiled. "Ugh..." Cheshire turned away and gave a small scoff. "Oh don't be such a grumpy cat, I'm just here to help~" Mir grined widely at Cheshire as he shoved him to the side gently and turned to the two.
He hummed and turned to True. "May I speak with you," his eyes gazed to the side the direction where Cheshire is. "Alone." True nodded and left with Mir, Cheshire's tail stiffening as if he doesn't like this, the way he clutches on his arm while his arms are crossed, the way his teeth are grinding against each other says a lot he's annoyed.
"Don't get too worked up, cat." Wujiu said, taking a sip of his tea. "Maybe that's what the guy wants." he added. "What do you know?" He asked. "I have been noticing you're angry whenever m'lord is taking over m'lady's attention, you really need to learn how to hide your feelings.
"As if you can hide your gayness around Bi'an." Wujiu choked on his drink and turned to the cat. "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" Cunning and Hollow just watched from the side, although Hollow is leaning his head against Cunning's shoulder, he seems to be tired. But what did made him tired?
As the boys handle the two new guests, Mir and True are discussing something else. "M'lady, I don't trust the two." Mir said with no hesitation. "How come, m'lord? Are you scared of the outcome?" she asked. "I don't feel fear around them, no. But I fear they have the ability to hurt a lot."
Mir turned to the window, the window with roses and thorny vines growing around it. "M'lady what do you see?" True walked over. "Roses with thorns." Mir nodded and took the rose even though the thorns pricked his finger.
"M'lord!"
"Hush. Now listen carefully."
Mir held the rose up to True's eyes. "A rose can be very elegant, beautiful, scentless. But if it finds a good place to grow, it will us its thorns to invade the place and will protect itself using them."
"The more beautiful they get, the more dangerous they become. They're pretty, but never safe to pick." he turned his gaze to True. "And even no matter how these people are dressed, there's still sins laying under those pretty clothes." he starts to walk off. "Please pick your allies wisely."
True was left silent in the halls.
As they finished their little chat, we not visit the resting queen. Laid on her bed, trying to sleep, but little fragments of memories are showing in her little head.
Showing her the bad memories she wishes to leave behind.
"My daughter!"
"My wife!"
"My kingdom!"
Those screams, kept repeating.
"FOR OUR PARADISE!"
She saw a silhouette of a man, a blurry silhouette. But before she could focus on his face...
"IT WASN'T ME!"
End.
