Me and Blade knight have been tasked by Sir Meta Knight to patrol the outskirts of Dreamland again. We just passed by Magolor's amusement park and are walking into Wispy's forest, Its best we mark signs on trees so we don't get lost. Its just me and her now alone in the forest.. I've known Blade for a long time now and never hid anything between eachother, maybe now is a perfect time to tell that I—
"AY SWORD! Race yer down that tree!"
"Say what..?"
And shes off dashing, I was stunned for a bit due to the sheer loudness of her voice breaking my thought bubble before dashing off as well before she trips over a rock.
I luckily caught up to her but she still tripped..
"Jeez! Bloody hell you could've at least watched where your going there, Why did you suddenly wanted to race in the first place??"
"Because its fun!" She laughs off "Aye if we're just gonna patrol, might as well make it a fun adventure too."
Ah right I should've thought about it sooner, I completely forgot how much of a wild card Blade can be sometimes.
"Well we better finish this patrol because if we stay out here after nightfall Sir Meta Knight will worry. "
"Yeah yeah." She stands up, brushing off the dirt on her jeans. "You're right, but its not sunset yet and Sir Meta Knight told us to just circle around the outskirts and meet him back in at the castle, We got plenty of time left! So we should just have some fun for a while."
"You have a point.. What do you want to do?"
"We can.. Oh! We can go to Magolor's amusement park! I have money."
"Theres no way I'm going to let you pay for my ticket-Look we can go there but I'm paying."
"At least let me pay for myself!"
"Fine, Well we better head there already or we wont be able to have enough time to explore the whole place."
And we're off. We went back from where we were headed and we were just outside the amusement park the whole place filled with bright colors and attractions, its amazing to think a guy like Magolor owns this whole place. We bought ourselves into the park and Blade goes dashing off while holding my hand, I sigh to the thought that I'm going to have to take care of Blade so to not get ourselves into danger. Today is going to be a long day..
We run up to a stall with 2 guns ready and a stack of cans supposedly to shoot the prizes are hanging at the top which are all plushies, one a dragon, a hamster, a fish, an owl and many other plushies. Blade who is right next to me is eyeing one of the plushies which is a small dog plushie with a keychain attached.
"Do you want one?" I asked
"Yeah, I do. Which one do you want?"
I thought about it for a bit then replied "The cat one".
"Of course you do. Lets go over there already and get it then!" And she dashes off to the stall. "Hey wait for me!" I run over and we pay the waddle dee the tickets needed to play the game. And we start, Blade picks up her gun and hits the bottom row of the stack of cans immediately making the cans tumble down only leaving 1. I on the other hand hit the middle of the cans leaving the bottom row of cans untouched. "Since when did you have such good aim?? I thought we were both sword users" "Silly its all in the name of the game! I never had good aim but I'll need it if I want that plushie." She replies. After 2 more rounds we both get enough points to get the plushies we wanted. "The cat plushie please!" Blade says, leaving me confused. "Wait I thought you wanted the dog one why are you getting the cat?" I ask. "Well because I'm giving it to you! You wanted the cat one right?" She says with a smile on her face, I couldn't help but blush. She's so sweet at times and other times she can be a chaotic mess. She really is a wild card.
"Well if you're getting me the one I want.." I gesture at the waddle dee "The dog one please.". "Aw your giving me the one I want too! Thanks!" I smile back at her. The waddle dee comes back and gives us the plushies, we say thank you then walk a few steps away from the stall. And there we exchange our plushie giving each other the one we said we wanted, this was one of those happy moments we shared. It was nice. We walk past the food stalls and photo booths and in front of us there it is.. The kissing booth. When I saw the booth I started to slightly blush, trying not to entertain the thought in my head which is asking Blade if they wanted to go to the booth.
"Aye imagine if we went to that booth!" Blade says this with a cheeky face. Even if I knew she was joking, I blushed harder hell I probably look like a maxim tomato at that point. Blade when seeing my reaction, laughs really hard at this "Calm down calm down!! I'm just teasing, lets go." She says still catching her breath from laughing too hard. We walk for a while watching the waddle dees and cappies at all the different stalls eating their food, talking to each other, winning prizes until everything is just a bit quieter. Leaving me to my thoughts, I just remembered what I was going to say to Blade a while ago. Thinking about nows a perfect time to tell her.

"Hey Blade? there's something I should tell you.. I-"
"HEY HEY HEY!! Who are these two in Maggies park?" I get cut off. I look to see who it is and its a purple haired guy with elf ears and purple eyes, wearing a blue waistcoat over a button up shirt with the long sleeves pulled up and puffy shorts, brown shoes with black socks and bandaids on his nose and leg, with a 2-toned jester hat, balancing on a beach ball. I only know one person in dreamland who looks like that. "Oh hey Marx! The last time I saw you it was when we fought Void Termina with Kirby, how've ya been?" Blade stated "I've been doing just great! What brings you here with your pal?" Right, Marx fought off Void Termina with the other star allies including Blade, Meaning I'm the only one in here who's barely acquainted to him. "Well were on patrol duty but since we had extra time we decided to play some games at the amusement park, ya know for fun!" "Yeah.. for fun.." I give him a look telling to back off, I mean who has the audacity to just walk into a conversation?? "Hmm I see.. Well I got a perfect game for you! You should play in that stall over there, its a new game called tilt and rumble!" Marx says then pointing to a stall at our right. "Ooh! It looks fun Sword we should go, thanks Marx!" And Blade dashes off again.. Leaving me and Marx.
"Mate what's your problem? why did you cut me off?" I ask. Marx jumps off the beach ball and whispers to me "You'll thank me later, after you're done playin' there come over to the outermost left side of the park. I'll be entertaining some folks there and I'll tell ya what to do next. Wish you luck!" He winks at me at me then jumps back on the beach ball and bounces away. I'm quite confused but I think I better follow him, he seems genuinely trustworthy and has a friendly tone. I rush over to the stall Blade was playing in only to see her frustrated expression while shes tilting a box with a pink ball inside. The ball falls into a hole and Blade looks even more annoyed "Aww man! Why cant I beat the last one!? I just want the prize dammit!" I walk closer to her and look at the prize she was talking about, it was a ticket for a free ride on the ferris wheel. "Do you want me to try?" I ask "Sword!! Ah my savior please try, I want to win the prize so badly!" She hands me the box and I pay the waddle dee the tickets to play. I try my best to maneuver the pink ball into the star spot, supposedly the destination of the ball. Being careful and avoiding the holes I almost fail in the last part but luckily I got the ball to the star spot. I win. The waddle dee gives me the prize and I place it in my pocket, "Oh thank you!! Thank you so much Sword!" All I did was smile back. "So where else should we go to before we leave? The sun's bouta' set so.." She asks "We should go to where Marx is, He told me to visit him once we're done here." "Oh great! C'mon let's go!" She holds my hand then dashes to where we saw small fireworks and glowing neon glass.
And there he is about to wrap up his performance, Flying high up in the sky with his wings then diving straight down into the ground as if the ground was water. This giving the audience a shock including me but Blade was just grinning as if she was saying "wait for it". He hits the ground but he isnt dead, or hell even there! Then the ground he dived into turns into a dark purple color and Marx jumps out of the ground with beach balls also coming out and exploding into fireworks. The audience cheers and some are even in awe with the fireworks, then, the performance ends with a bow and the audience then walks away. Marx spots us and comes over to where we're at, "Ah! Your here! Hope you liked my performance!" "It was awesome! We just came from the game you recommended and won the prize!" Blade replies back and Marx looks at me with a grin for a second before saying "Well then! Off to the ferris wheel you go!" Pushing us off and looking back at him he gave me another grin and a wink and mouthing the words "goodluck". I think I see what going on here..
We give the waddle dee who was controlling the ride the ticket we won and let us on the ride.

"Man.. We had so much fun here and now the sun is setting."
"Yeah we did.. and who knew that we'd meet Marx here?"
"Well I did. He's usually here in the amusement park, Magolor lets him earn his buck here without needing to pay the entrance fee."
"Really now? I wonder why.."
"First off, he's absolutely broke hell he lives with the animal friends. And secondly, boyfriend free pass those two are so obviously dating I could see it coming a mile away but they just have no clue how to officially tell people they are."
"Huh.. wow Dreamland is so peaceful yet filled with so many stories."
"Haha! Yeah! ...Hey didn't you have something to tell me?"
"Now that you say that.. Yeah I did.." We locked eyes for a few seconds at the top of the ride. The sunset in the background makes her red hair and green eyes shine beautifully. I think really deeply..

"Nevermind it." I couldn't get myself tell her just yet. Instead, I hold her hand and she looks at our hand then me with a blank expression while.. blushing..? I couldn't look at her without flushing so I look away, lowering my head. We stayed like this for a bit before we got close to the ground again. Then the waddle lets us down the ride, we walk until we saw Marx beaming with happiness to see us. "Hey Blade? You can go ahead I just want to talk to Marx a bit." I say so that Marx can ask the question that I know he's going to ask, and to save myself from the embarrassment of actually telling Marx that I didn't infront of Blade. "Since when did you two become so buddy buddy?" She lets out a laugh then runs off while shouting "See you outside!" and she's off.
"..So did you tell her?" I knew it!! "I- well- no, I didn't I couldn't.." I look down waiting for Marx to say something cheeky "Well then that's a shame bud, Good luck next time!" He's being surprisingly supportive?? "Thank you.. I guess. You know what, how did you even know I liked her??" I ask. "Well I could see the frustration in your glare when I barged in your conversation, that's why I told you to play that game and go to where I was to give you a more romantic moment. Also because Blade talked lots and lots about you when we were on the journey to fight Void Termina and behind her back, Dedede, Kirby and Bandana then told us about the countless of times they could see the obvious interest you have for her. Boy I can tell you I've been there, people have talked about me showing interest behind my back too, so I just wanted to push you." Also surprisingly, Marx can be pretty smart for someone with that kind of personality.
"Alright then, I need to take my leave now, See you." I then walk away from Marx headed to the entrance of the park, turning my walk into a run.
"See you! And again goodluck!" Marx shouts to me, Making me grin now that I know that someone will support me.

I reach the entrance to the park and see Blade waiting for me next to a tree. I walk over to her and she lets out her hand with a smile saying "Let's go!" I take her hand and we start running to the castle. Running through the woods that we thankfully marked the trees of with our swords, it getting dark now so if we didn't mark these trees we would be lost. We run out of the forest and now on the path of Mt.Dedede, I honestly don't know why the king would name an entire mountain after himself.. Maybe it's just a thing bosses do since Sir Meta Knight has the Halberd with its front looking like his mask, and the crew (which me and Blade so happen to be in) which is named after him only to be differentiated by a dash. We finally reach the castle and as we pass the moat, the waddle dees guarding let us in. On the Inside Sir Meta Knight was waiting for us.
"..Your back." Meta Knight looks at the 2 small plushies we were holding but decided not to question it. "You two almost had me worried there." He adds, then we report to him what we saw on our patrol and we were let go. "Good job, tomorrow is a saturday so Mace and Trident will be taking your shift" And he leaves. After that, me and Blade head to our quarters to call it a night.
Our quarters were quite humble but we did have a tv and that one jar of candy Sir Meta knight keeps to this day also of course, our beds. But thats practically it–Not that I'm asking for more or anything! I'm completely content with this and we go outside or hang out in the Halberd more often in the first place.

"Aye Blade?"
"Yeah?"
"I had a lotta fun today, and since the weekend is our day off.. We should do that again."
"So you genuinely wanna be apart of this adventure?"
"Yeah I do! I've always been involved with your antics anyway so it's not like I can't say no."
"Then I'll make it as fun as possible." Blade grins before we both drift off.
