Chapter Text
As I walked through the forest, the king of the forest, a tiger that's three times bigger then usual, walks towards me. I stop as I sensed it walking towards me.
It comes to a stop in front of me and sits down, showing it's loyalty to me. I tap my side as I start walking towards the direction of the hut. As we walk, I speak to the tiger.
"How has your day been Tigru?" I questioned as I haven't seen her in a while.
"I have been fine, Master Yami." Tigru answered as she turns her head to me. "I have been doing what you wanted me to do. So the boys are fine, as I protected them as you have ordered to the point of detail. They think it's their luck though."
"Ok, Tigru. You have done well." After that we continued walking towards the bandit's hut. We walked peacefully until we arrived a couple of feet away.
"Tigru, you can leave now and continue with your assignment. Have a great day." I ordered as Tigru then nodded and walked away, probably to look for some prey to eat.
I continued to walk, coming up to a clearing in the trees. As I stop to look in the clearing, a boy rushes out of a broken down hut, screaming profanities at who ever was in said hut, too.
My anger raises, as I was sure that I didn't teach him to speak like that to his caretakers. I start walking into the clearing, allowing my KI to be felt, causing the boy to stop in what only could be called fear.
"ACE," I stormed towards the now named bay, Ace. "What did I say about speaking to your elders and especially you caretakers!" I yelled as I continued to a stop in front of Ace.
Ace was a 8 year old boy with obsidian black hair and eyes. He was wearing a reddish-orange A-shirt, more towards the orange side, black shorts and sandals. He was holding a sliver pipe, as if it was a Bo staff.
I really need to get him and Sabo an actual Bo staff one of these days because as much as those pipes work they won't work when they grow up and go on adventures, I thought as I scolded Ace for his behavior.

As I finished eating, I remembered what Yami had said causing me to worry about who she is as the only ones who know I was on Roger's crew was the crew and Roger's friends but even then their all tight lipped people. So how did she know.
While I was lost in my thoughts, I didn't notice Makino making her way to my table until she startled me out of my said thoughts.
"Anything else I can get you?" She asked out of curiosity but still with hidden cation behind it.
"Another round of drinks would be great," I said smiling to show I'm friendly. To that she nods and leaves to behind the bar to the back room. As she disappears into said room, I get up an move to the bar, sitting next to Luffy.
"So Luffy, what are you doing in a bar instead of playing with other kids your age?" I question him to start a conversation with him.
"They don't like me and the only ones who do are the adults, plus their aren't that many kids here." He answered my question. "And it's the only place I can eat at."
Ok, that's new. Shouldn't there be a restaurant I this place or his family for that fact. "What about your family? Shouldn't you be with them."
"Luffy doesn't have family on the island," answered Makino as she walked back behind the bar and sliding a glass my way. "I'm his caretaker at the moment."
"Ok, but what about that Yami girl?" I asked finally hoping to get some answers. I look at Makino waiting.
"Yami is a traveler who comes by every week or two to take care of Luffy and I think someone else too." Makino answered as she poured drinks for the rest of my crew. I probably had a weird face because she continues talking.
"Yami first came to the island 7 years ago during the new year celebration. Stoping for a drink and then leaving up the mountain. She's helped out the village ever since." Makino continued after a small break to putt the filled glasses of alcohol on the trey.
"If you want to know anything else I would ask her when she comes back." She stated which I nodded to.
"I do have a question that you can answer." I please waiting for a sign of understanding. Makino looked to me a little confused but nodded. "Did Yami always have that sword, the Ten no Hana or maybe the Heavenly Flower."
"Hmmm... I think Yami always had that sword. She never leaves it be, though only at select times she does and only with me does she leave it." As Makino said that I nodded. I'll have to wait to get my answers but for now let's drink, I thought as I lift my drink and chugged it down in one go.
"Another please and thank you," which Makino nods to, filling my mug once more.
- Back to the Mountains - Yami POV -
After scolding Ace, me and him leave the bandits to look for Sabo, who was waiting for us at the usual meet up spot.
