Chapter Text
Jimmy didn’t know where he was.
At first he awoke in a small meadow surrounded by looming hills, a hobbit hole to the right and left. A nether portal was in front of him, and a lake sat in the center with a small wheat field and a mining entrance with animal pens to his right. The most flowers Jimmy has ever seen - even comparing to the Overgrown - were blooming all around as the sun shone brightly from above.
He looked down at his hands to see no webbed fingers, no tail, and he wasn’t in anything the Cod Empire would wear.
He heard a distant voice calling to him, though he could not pinpoint it. It was masculine and soothing, but no matter how much he looked around, he couldn’t find anything.
Everything held a familiarity to it, a comfortable familiarity. It seemed too vivid to be fake, but he knew it wasn’t exactly him.
The feeling of remembrance brought him back to the thoughts that were circulating in his mind earlier that night.
Dances on docks and laughter while running through quagmire. Ten friends, some closer to each other than others, but all able to get along.
It was such a nice place. There was a different smell that fit where you were everywhere you went.
Gas and grease at the blacksmith’s, pastries and goods at the bakery, smoke and fresh meat at the smoker’s.
And the environment was so inviting. Anyone was welcome and accepted.
These.. visions, seemed a lot clearer than earlier, Jimmy noticed. There was something a little unsettling about it, he couldn’t figure out why though.
The next couple felt more obscure. Where the other ones felt like he should know, these gave off the omen as if he shouldn’t - not yet at least.
There was a tall, wood building, large extending wheat fields on one side and a wall on the other.
In a single blink of an eye the entire thing was on fire, causing it to all burn and decay in a matter of seconds.
There was screaming, panicked yelling, and a ton of questions.
“What did you say to make Scar so mad?” Who’s Scar?
“What made him do this?” Are they talking about the Scar dude?
“What did you say to him?” Why does the name Scar sound oddly familiar?
“We came over as soon as we could! What happened?” Jimmy froze. Well, as well as he could when he was having such a strange out of body experience.
There was only one person that voice could belong to.
Scott.
The sweet Scottish accent that was both incredibly soothing yet stern in its own way was unmistakable. No matter how hard he tries not to, Jimmy always finds himself relaxing when hearing it.
He shook himself out of his thoughts. No, he can’t be having them right now. Something happened and he had no context whatsoever.
Scott was here, and he was here with a.. zombie of some some sort? He didn’t recognize the being - he didn’t recognize anyone, not even he or Scott at first glance.
Yet again, Jimmy wasn’t in his usual Cod Empire garments. There was no tail, no webbed hands or feet, and he was, to say the least, a good three to four inches shorter then he.
Scott had no noticeable pointy ears, and he wasn’t in his usual Rivendell garments. Just like Jimmy, he was shorter then the elf king he knew.
In fact, he and Scott were close to the same height - give or take an inch.
Then, he was in someone’s arms. Hugging, crying.
In a flash he was dead, and enderman lingering over his limp body.
He heard someone calling to him, asking why he was still there and telling him to go home. He couldn’t pay attention, though. His head was spinning with questions that he wished answers for, and he felt like he was in an endless loop of whatever this was.
And what was home?
Was it the Cod Empire? The Ocean Empire? Maybe Mezalea or Pixandria?
Was there somewhere else he should know as home?
Jimmy was ripped from his thoughts randomly and everything was gone. None of his questions were answered, and there was nothing.
Pitch black - nothing.
It was an anxiety inducing black. One that left an uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach.
It was also silent. A deafening silence.
Jimmy's thoughts were a muddled mess. Nothing was making sense, and it was silent.
It felt like forever before something became visible again.
He sat up, no longer knowing if he was dead, asleep, or finally awake.
When his eyes finally adjusted to the sudden brightness he looked around the room.
White walls with spruce accents. There were blue covers and the room smelled of fresh bread and cinnamon buns.
His head spun and he found himself still squinting, but it wasn’t too bad.
Leaning against the doorframe was an unmistakable figure.
“Ah, yo-“
“Scott.” Jimmy interrupted, sighing. He didn’t want to deal with this today. “Why am I here?” He stared at Scott with a deadpan expression. Neither spoke, and neither broke eye contact.
After a while of awkward silence, Scott let out a breath, shaking his head slightly. “It doesn’t matter. Your elytra and some rockets - enough to get you home - are on the desk. Don’t stay too long.”
With that, he was gone.
It was odd for Scott to be so... straightforward with Jimmy. He sat there for a moment thinking about what it all could’ve been about, but didn’t waste too much time on it.
He needed to get home.
How long was he gone for? Would his advisors and such be worried? Should he be worried? He doesn’t even know why he was in Rivendell to begin with! Let alone how he got there.
He grabbed his elytra and the rockets and went on his way.
Coincidentally, there was a balcony in the room, so he didn’t need to leave and have the possibility of running into Scott.

When he got back to the Cod Empire, no one batted an eye and no one asked questions.
He returned to his duties with no problems. Though, he had hoped that someone would bring it up - he was still wondering what had all gone down for him to end up in Rivendell of all places, and him not to realize it.
Nothing was really needed to be done in the main hall, so he headed to the market square.
The smell of freshly baked pastries and goods filled the air, while children laughed and giggled as they ran along the dirt paths.
Jimmy really did like it here. Sure, he missed always being with his sister in the Ocean Empire before the Cod Empire was built up, but he couldn’t have asked for somewhere more peaceful to be.
Well, that was when King Sausage of Mythland, the Cod Empire’s neighbouring kingdom, wasn’t bugging him.
Even if it was for shits and giggles, he did have a tendency of always getting under Jimmy’s scales, and sometimes took it a bit too far.
At least there was no oncoming war the Mythland anymore. Though, Jimmy still didn’t fully trust the high and mighty ruler yet.
His father would always tell him not to hold grudges, but stealing a family heirloom and laughing about it? Making him go on a wild goose chase for it? Create a fake one and charge a diamond block to get the real one back?
And the Codfather head! Don’t get him started on it.
Even with all that, King Sausage was proving to be a good ally, and after everything was sorted out, he always had Jimmy’s back.
It still felt a little odd but it wasn’t bad, and he didn’t really wanna question it much.
As Jimmy was walking around, he bought up a couple of items like: bread, a bag of cookies, a few scones, and some other baked goods. He picked up a basket and a small hand towel and headed back to his courters.
He set up a care package, adding some flowers he picked along the way - ones that didn’t really grow in the swamp like poppies and daisies.
Once he was satisfied with how it looked, he set off.
He didn’t exactly know where he was headed but his body had a very clear destination in sight, and as the air grew brisker and the ground seemed to emit fog, he knew where he was headed.
He didn’t know what exactly brought him here with the care package, or why he was so nervous, but after he landed at the village there was no going back.
It wasn’t the longest walk from the village to the palace, and soon enough he was standing a foot away from the large, gold accented, spruce doors.
Before Jimmy got the chance to knock the door opened...
“Solidarity?!”
