“Speaking of which,” Vox turned to Velvette, arm resting on the table, “what the fuck was that at the banquet, Velvette?”
Velvette shrunk in her seat, staring at the table as if it would give her answers if she glared hard enough.
“Begging me to invite Virus on the show, then pissing her off like that?” Vox continued on. “We already have enough enemies as is. We do not need another one with influence! Especially after I expanded her reach!”
Pearl stared at Virus with a confused expression. “Oh, you know, the getting in a fight with the social media overlord thing. Might have forgot it.”
Virus sighed. “Right. That.”
“Are you serious, Vi?!” Pearl set her mug (how quickly did Bella fix her a drink?!) on the table. “We hired you because you were able to be under the Vees’ radar! Now you’re on their fu—“ Pearl glanced at Coral “—their freaking talk show?”
A week after the banquet. Virus and Velvette's respective people talk about what happened, and next steps are formed.

“You always did live life to the fullest.” Velvette reminisced as she looked downward, gripping the railing like a lifeline.
Virus cocked her head to the side. Velvette’s discomfort not going unnoticed. “You good, sweet tooth?”
The sound of Virus’ old nickname for Velvette must have triggered something; in an instant, she whipped her head around and looked at Virus with anger the hacker demon had only ever seen once.

Summary
In a universe where Overwatch was never founded, the world won the Omnic Crisis through cybernetic implants and technological advancements in every field. Everyone became obsessed with modifying their bodies, wanting cybernetics of their own, and power hungry corporations were more than willing to make that demand.
Years later, a botched assassination of a Vishkar architech throws Tokyo, Japan into chaos, and it's up to cyborg detectives, cyborg smugglers, cyborg vigilantes, a cyborg fighting ring, a cyborg hacker, and two perfectly human DJs to drive Vishkar out of the neighborhood.

Summary
Subconsciously, Shelby curled up into a ball, hugging her legs. She cried into her knees, not caring to move to a more comfortable spot or to where no one could see her. All she wanted to do was scream.
Scream at Meghan for their broken friendship. Scream at the flowers for not blooming like they were supposed to. Scream at the the people trying to kill her. Scream at whatever cruel god made her what she is.
Eventually, the sobs spaced out, allowing for even breath and windows of time to wipe the snot off her nose. She uncurled from her fetal position and sat up, continuing to look at the stars as if nothing happened.
“Shelby?”
Shelby tensed up. She whipped her head around, looking for the owner of the voice, specifically the owner of a voice with a Scottish accent.
OR
Shelby has a cry, which is unfortunately witnessed by a certain Scottish vampire.

“Why, because you guys didn’t?” Purpled mumbled. He tried to say is quiet enough so the royal family was out of earshot, but a glare from Technoblade implied that he must have heard it. Oh well. Purpled just stared back, refusing to show any emotion. Go ahead Techno, Purpled though, try to prove me wrong.
Techno turned away, and Purpled grinned to himself in victory.
