“I'll see you guys later, okay.” Ren says goodbye to his basketball buddies to leave early.
Basketball match today was fun, but he needs to see someone, almost urgently. There are multiple reasons for why he can’t finish the match, but mainly because he already misses him.
Ren admits that he did flirt a lot, some was accidently but many was on purpose. Despite his flirting being very obvious, that person seems to not take a hint yet. He even tried to turn on his charm when his crush was around but he couldn’t tell if he was jealous or not. However, he will change it today, he will ask the person out on a date and if luck is on his side, he may have a boyfriend.
You might be wondering, why a charming guy like Ren has to go extra miles to get a date like that. Well, because Ren’s target is very hard for him to have just a normal conversation. He wouldn’t deny that he loves it when the other mald, he even makes him mald while they try to have a serious self-study session. But for something as important as getting the other on a date with him, he needs to test the water first.
That’s why he sends many spies to get him some information, however most of them turn back empty-handed. Looks like his crush does have someone in mind, hopefully him, and he doesn’t know how to deal with his emotion too. Ren might have a chance, high chance if his crush does like him back, on the other hand if it’s not him then the only he can do is move out of his dorm room already.
“Hey Ren, where are you heading? Looks like you are in a hurry.” Ren turns his head to see who is just speaking to him. Turns out it is Scarle with Aia and Maria accompanying her.
“I’m looking for Kyo, have you guys seen him?”
“Oh~~so today is the day, isn’t it?” Seeing Ren slightly blushing face only makes Scarle want to bully him more.
“I saw him and Aster talking in the front yard, but it’s been a while so I don’t know if they are still there.” Maria recalls her memory.
"Talking with Aster, huh?” Ren secretly clenches his fist, he thought Aster was on his side. Looks like that guy also wants to win Kyo's heart. His smiling face turns creepy without his realization.
Aia sees his expression change, she immediately feels the urge to drag her girlfriend and child to a safer place. Who knows if this alien is able to control his jealousy or not, he might use them as hostages to lure Aster out.
To explain this, Ren always sees himself as a very easy-going man. He hardly ever gets mad or jealous at anyone, he tends to be more chill and most of the time just laughs it off. But the moment he realizes his feelings toward Kyo, his attitude changes a lot. He is more aware of people around Kyo and sometimes even turns on protective mode if someone gets too close to him.
He gets jealous when someone makes Kyo laugh.
He gets jealous when Kyo smiles at someone.
He gets jealous when someone is able to get a hug from Kyo.
He gets jealous when someone just…talks with Kyo.
Ren did talk to Aia about this matter before and she only said he was already getting possessive at Kyo, she even said that she was surprised that Ren hadn't locked Kyo in their dorm yet. Well, he has thought about that before but he doesn't want to make Kyo hate him, he just wants Kyo to love him.
“Hey Ren, hello? Are you still there?” He only realizes he has just lost in his thought when he hear Maria’s voice calling him.
“Yeah, sorry I just space out there. But anyway, I’ll catch up with you guys later.”
“You better hurry, you don’t want Aster snatches Kyo out of your hand, right?” Scarle’s words successfully make the girls laugh at Ren’s face.
“Haha very funny Scarle, but that bottom boy won’t.” This quote even crack the girls up harder, because they still laugh hard while wave at Ren.
Ren waves goodbye to them, and heads his way to the school’s front-yard.

It didn’t take long for Ren to find where Aster and Kyo are sitting, the duo’s hair colors are hard to miss anyway. However, Ren is greeted with a not-so-pleasant sight for him. Aster is so close to Kyo that it just makes him want to throw the star guy back to where he’s come from. It looks like Aster is whispering something to Kyo that makes him blush so bad, this only adds more oil into Ren’s anger.
But he still decides to get to where they are sitting, he will try to control his urge to kick Aster out to space. So Ren sneaks behind the bench and surprises them.
“What are you guys talking about?” He tries to put on his normal, friendly smile.
Despite his intention to surprise them, he didn’t expect to see them literally jump out of their skin. Both of them are quite flustered and confused, it makes him wonder if they were talking about him.
“We are…are just…history yeah history…I was just asking Kyo about my history homework…man I hate that subject, right Kyo?” “They definitely just talked about me.” Ren thinks to himself, but he will be a good friend and not expose them.
“Huh, but you said to me that you love history.”
Seeing Aster struggling to find another excuse, Ren feels like he somewhat gets his anger out just a little bit. However Ren’s focus is on the blue-haired boy whose face is still red like a tomato and ignores Aster’s signal for help. “He is so cute” his face lit up a bit.
“Just forget about what I said. Why did you unexpectedly appear here, Ren?” He almost forgot that Aster is still here.
“I saw you guys from afar and since our summer vacation is coming soon, I want to ask if you guys have any plans.”
Then Aster says something but Ren couldn’t hear well, because he is busy looking at Kyo, his expression looks somewhat sad and disappointed. Maybe he is thinking about how no one invited him to hangout or how unpopular he is. Kyo did accidently mentions this to Ren multiple times and it still breaks Ren’s heart whenever he hears it.
Looks like Aster has finished talking as he now also looks at Kyo the same Ren does, but with an anticipating look.
“I don’t know, I haven’t had anything in mind.”
Hearing this answer makes Ren feel like there are butterflies in his stomach, now he has every chance to ask Kyo out on a date. Although Kyo might find another excuse to turn down his offer, at least he has a higher chance of success than he originally thought. Of course Ren will take this rare opportunity.
“Then…” He suddenly feels nervous, that's why he takes a second to calm himself down.
“Will you go on a date with me?”
