Chapter Text
The ringing of the telephone alerted her, it was the secretary of the Luftwaffe building, informing her that a lieutenant was looking for her and had a meeting with it, she nodded giving the order to let her in.
- Lieutenant, any news?
- That's right - she smiled - now she is safe, most likely she will meet with the other subjects soon.
Kronii smiled at her, she knew that Mumei was happy to have saved Kiara from having remained on this side, close to the other subjects created she could fulfill her plan to the fullest and save humanity from certain catastrophe.
After having escaped from the Council, they decided to prepare the fate of all the subjects to unification, they pretended to be many people, common soldiers, high ranks, simple population.
They knew that in that place Fauna was also lurking, that's why they had armored Kiara when they saw her nearby.
Fauna was part of a dangerous organization, at the time of the war and ideological polarization had made breeding ground for terrible attitudes, the Gestapo was one of them, fearsome police, in search of evil that could affect their beloved Reich, however, Fauna was there to hunt down a subject.
Days passed, both Mumei and she were ready to disappear from there and head for England, as she looked out of the office window for the last time, the phone rang again.
- I see, send her in.
The blue-haired woman cut off, waiting for the one who was looking for her meeting, she sat at the desk watching the door open, a woman dressed in the classic waffen SS uniform and a long black coat, as she entered, she raised her arm in the classic salute of the moment just to annoy Kronii.
- Long time no see you Kronii - she sat down in front of her -.
- Same here, we were so close, but at the same time so far away, eh?
From her coat pocket Fauna, who had brown hair, took out a can of chocolate and put it on the desk and proceeded to eat.
- Do you really think they are more cunning than I can be?
- I don't understand what you mean.
The girl in front of her let out a small laugh.
- have hidden one of my subjects, they took her on a mission with a squadron which they changed in the itinerary right?
- So, you noticed, too bad you guys can get into our documents and we can't, the waffen are lucky.
- Don't avoid destiny.
- What you're looking for is not to keep destiny, you want revenge on the humans, you know that if that thing explodes, you'll die of poison, right?
Closing the can, Fauna chewed the last piece.
- It's a price to pay for satisfaction.
- Where was the kind and merciful mother?
- She left when they showed me no mercy.
- That speech of yours is already trite.
Kronii approached her face to face.
- Who are you kidding, huh?
Fauna stood up, banging the desk, took her hand to her waist and took the Luger from her holster, placing it on her forehead.
- You're not even capable of shooting me, I know it's not loaded.
- I'm glad you sensed it, but next time it won't be the common bullet, there we'll see what civilization does without time.
The girl turned away putting the pistol away, smiling sinisterly she gave her a bow.
- See you, my dear warden of time.
The door closed behind her.
Undoubtedly, they had to act faster than they had planned, from that moment on they would have to cover their steps again, hide in the hope of not being detected by Fauna like a hunter after her prey.
That same night they left for England to watch the steps of their subjects, there everyone should meet sooner or later and if they could interfere in their help, so much the better.
