Chapter Text

The room he was set up in was nicer than he originally thought it would be. He had a queen bed with a simple frame in the middle of the back wall. There was a simple nightstand on one side and a desk and chair on the other. A cupboard for hanging clothes with a few drawers in it was on the right-hand wall, along with a mirror. The left-hand wall had a door he was assuming was a bathroom. Upon further inspection, it was indeed a bathroom with only a toilet and sink. The main problem with the room was that everything was white. The bed, the sheets, the furniture, everything was white. Another problem was that there was no window. The only way in or out was through the door, which if he were to check he was sure was locked. His only saving grace was the air vent located above the cupboard. If he could find a way to get the vent off he could make an escape that way.
After accessing the room's layout, he went through to find anything of use in the room itself. There were simple unscented toiletries in the bathroom, clean supplies under the sink, a change of sheets a few pairs of clothes in the cupboard, and some stationary on the desk. At least with the stationary, if he got bored, he could work on some new songs. He hoped that he wouldn't be restricted to this room for long periods of time. He hated how white everything was. He could already feel his sanity slipping. He needed to hurry and get this over with. He didn't think he could last long in these environments.
He decided to check the bent to see if he would need to find something to pry it open with. Lucky for him all he would have to do is find something flat to undo the screws with. He has a feeling that the vents are cleaned often. There was hardly any dust and the screws seem to be undone regularly. He doubts that they would put anyone in here that they thought wouldn't want to stay, so the thought of someone using it as an escape route wouldn't even cross their minds. It's not like an adult could fit in there anyway. He, being on the smaller size, would barely fit. He has a feeling that he will have to be here for more than a day or two. He knows that his likely hood of finding Eri and the evidence of human experimentation will be hard. Especially since they were planning on him being part of the trials and not being treated as a guest. He will have to wait until tomorrow to see if this is just a test of character or if they honestly plan on treating him like this for his entire stay. On top of the lackluster infiltration, he also needs to find Eri. He has a small inkling that she is who he will have to watch as his job, but if she isn't he will have to find a way to be able to wander around to find her.
He makes his way to the bathroom. He needed to communicate with Eiji and Kachan to let them know that he might need more time and he would be heading to sleep soon. He had no idea if he was being monitored or not. Looking at himself in the mirror, he was hit with flashbacks to before he made his mark in the music world. He looked like that scared scrawny kid that would make support items for anyone with enough money just to survive. The one who would sell his analysis to people as long as they didn't use it to hurt people. The kid that would sing his frustration, his pain, and his wants out on the corner of busy streets hoping that he would have enough to get food and not have to make deals with the people of the underworld. He had come a long way in such a short amount of time. He had built himself a reputation in his first few weeks on the street with his gear and knowledge on quirks, then as a vigilante. Now he is living better than ever as a musician and a registered quirk councilor. He has his found family and he is going to do whatever it takes to get that little girl out so she can find hers as well.
He looked at himself in the mirror for a few more seconds. He made the signs for more and time, purposely separating them to make it look more like a nerves tick than anything. He had no idea if he was being watched or if someone in the compound knew sign. He had to be careful when communicating with his partners. He wouldn't want to get caught for something as simple as a few hand signs. He couldn't know how they were taking it though. The downside to having a one-way communication, he was completely in the dark when it came to those two. He knew this mission was going to be hard on them. He made sure that everything was taken care of before he left. If something were to happen to him, everything would be left to Katsuki with Eijiro as a second benefactor. They would both be under the care of Mita-san until they are of age to inherit. She would also receive royalties from his music. Everything would be set up for them to attend U.A. when they get into high school, with Uraraka's tuition covered as well. They would all be fine and everything will be taken care of, but he has every intention of making it out of this.
After he delivered his message, he made his way back into the room. They hadn't left him anything to entertain himself with so he figured he should probably get some sleep. He didn't know what awaited him tomorrow so he needed to be well rested for it. The bed was surprisingly comfy. The sheets were oddly high quality for a temporary place to hold potential workers. The pillows were the firm hypoallergenic kind, and everything smelt fresh and new. It was more luxurious than what a kid from the streets can expect. He wondered if it was to instill a sense of debt to them or if there were ulterior motives behind the luxury of the room. He supposes he would find out in the morning. He fell asleep almost as soon as his head hit the pillow.

Kai has never wanted to possess something so much in his life. Even if the boy wasn't the key to finally getting the quirk erasures to work, he thinks he might have still wanted to keep the boy. He had well-loved curls, though frizzy from the conditions he was living in still looked soft. Yes, he had scars, but it was almost like splatters of silver on a pale canvas. It only proved that he was strong enough to survive. His eyes were like obsidian gems held in a splatter of star-like freckles. They were filled with so much hope and pain, but also with a wave of underlying anger. A wave of anger he knew all too well, that screamed the injustices of the world to an undeserving soul. He knew that he had found the perfect person to help him achieve his dreams. Then after the ultimate test, he had to keep this boy forever.
It is a wonder no one on the streets saw him and locked him away before he had the chance to. It was this thought that lead to a thorough investigation into the boy. Not having much to go off of made it take longer than he wanted, but by the next day, he was able to get most of the information he was looking for. Izuku Midoriya, age fourteen, was emancipated by a court at the age of twelve, was then signed out of school and after that, there were no records for him. His medical records confirmed his quirklessness and lead to an extensive collection of scars that were obviously caused by either his mother or peers at school. No wonder the boy was able to survive this long on the streets. It seems he had enough practice going unnoticed in his life beforehand. He had half a mind to hunt down everyone who had ever hurt such a perfect being and punish them. He won't, not unless the green angle asks it of him.
Now that he was able to identify and corroborate Izuku's story, he needs to ensure that he and Eri bond. He will have to wait on introducing him to the entire plan behind the need for both of their blood. For now, he will keep under the guise of making sure they are healthy. Perhaps some positive reinforcement will help Eri become better behaved as well. Giving her something that could be taken away will make her more plaint. All he would have to do is threaten her new friend and she would stop her insistent sniveling and her attempts to escape. It would also give her a reason to better behave and hopefully speed up the process of finding investors. If they could see the base of the product and how it works they would be more likely to back their organization. By that time he should be able to sway Izuku to his cause. Not only would he be able to prove the product and its qualities, but he could also flaunt his new treasure.
Speaking of his treasure he would have to get him something things. No doubt the boy holds no value to material items, but that won't stop him from giving the boy as many gifts as he sees fit. He would need clothes and perhaps things to entertain himself with. He would have to get someone to find out what his new treasure liked. He would keep him happy so he wouldn't even think of leaving. If he did then he would receive the same treatment as Eri until he could grow to accept his place by Kai's side. He would have to send some of the lower levels out to get the clothes and a few books. He would entrust Mimic to get the boy an appropriate mask. One that would signify to the rest of the organization that he was under Kai's protection and should be treated just as important as himself. He would continue to have Kurono watch over him until he is ready for the boy to meet Eri.

It was a little past eight when Kurono entered the room to bring him a tray of food. It was a simple miso soup with rice and underseasoned steamed fish. He could practically feel Kachan in his head screaming about not being able to make a decent meal. The tray was set on the desk along with a pot of tea.
"Kai would like for you to bathe after you have had your meal. You will be bathing yourself, this time. By the time you are done with your food and have bathed then we should have clothing prepared for you. Afterward, Kai would like for you to attend a mid-day meal with him before introducing you to who you will be looking after. You will then be given time to get to know them and go over what will be expected of you from here on out." He paused to ensure that Izuku had retained all the information before continuing. "I will be back in an hour to take you to the baths. Please do not make a mess and leave all of your trash on the tray for someone to come clean up while you are gone." With that, he left. Izuku couldn't tell if this was normal practice for when they took people in or if he was the exception. Kurono gave off little to no indication if this was normal or not. Until he was able to tell where he stood with the organization he would play along.
He ate in relative silence, something he isn't used to. He was always surrounded by sounds at home. Whether it was Kachan or Eiji, music from the radio or listening to a new song for editing purposes, or just the natural noises of the house there was always something. He knew this place would drive him mad if he were to have to prolong his stay here. He needed to find the information and the girl fast. He would agree to whatever nonsense they spewed at the point just to get those objectives done and return home. Once he was done, he neatly stacked his dishes on the tray. He then went to the bathroom to wash his hands and grab a towel to clean up the desk. He didn't think he made a mess but it would probably be best to clean the desk just in case. Kurono came in shortly after he was done cleaning the desk. He was led to the same bathing area as the night before and left to his own devices. He made quick work of cleaning himself before just sitting in the bath for an unknown time. He was dosing off in the bath before he was awoken by Kurono clearing his throat startled him.
"I've brought the clothes that Kai has picked for you. There is a mask included. You are required to wear it outside of meal times, bathing, sleeping, and if Kai requests you not to. Please keep in mind that this is a heavily enforced rule for all of the inner circle. The punishment for not following this rule will be dealt out by Kai himself and differs for the person and the place the person is caught not following the rule. Kai personally picks the mask of every member and it is to signify your priority to the organization. So don't take the mask lightly." He gave Izuku the same stern look as when he was talking about Izuku cleaning himself. "As soon as you are dressed knock on the door and I will escort you to Kai." With that, he left the bathing area.
Izuku got out of the water and meticulously dried himself off. He took extra care of his hair to make sure it wouldn't drip on his new clothes. He picked up the black dress pants and the emerald green button-up from the shelf that Kurono had left them on. He had to stifle a laugh when he noticed that they were part of Kachan's line. At least they could say that they had good taste in clothes. There were the standard briefs and a plain white undershirt to go along with the clothes. A pair of black house slippers and black socks finished the ensemble. while he was putting everything on he noticed a black bag underneath everything. When he opened it he was greeted with a mask. It was made with red fabric with small gold designs along the sides. It came to a short point with a gold tip to resemble a small beak, almost like a sparrow. It was as long or as big as most of the people he has seen wearing masks. The gold designs on the side had violets, lily of the valley, and lavender all wrapped with ivy. He would have to ask someone if they know what the flowers mean. He had no idea if it symbolized anything important. After dressing and making himself look as put together as possible, he headed to the door to have Kurono lead him to Kai.

"Lavender means Royalty and loyalty, lily of the valley could be purity, violets could be for protection, and …. O." Eijiro stopped mid-rant. He had skipped school in order to make sure someone was able to watch the feed all day. He was currently looking up the meanings of the flowers on the mask, and he wasn't liking where this was going.
"What shitty hair? What does the ivy mean?" Katsuki, having just woken up from a nap, was now staring Eijiro down.
"A strong bond of love." They both stared at each other, not liking the feeling of dread that was dragged forth. With the combination of flowers, there is no question about what part Kai would want Izuku to play in their organization.

Notes:

Flower meanings are taken from growingvale.com. As most know flowers have multiple meanings and symbolize a lot of different things depending on where you are from, what time period, and also context.

Notes:

Thanks for the read. I turn off comments because I don't necessarily have time to monitor them. Feel free to send them anyway, but please be aware I may not respond. Also, I am terrible at English writing. There are so many rules and restrictions. I do not have anyone that checks over this like with my school work, so sorry if the grammar is bad. Thank you.
