Chapter Text
It was recess and Remus sat down with his friends, looking for Regulus between the people.
"Looking for someone, Moony?" James asked with a teasing tone
"Have you guys seen Reggie?" Remus asked still looking for him
"Oh, so he's Reggie now?" James asked in the same tone.
"Fuck off, Prongs, he is my friend and he's having a hard time, I'm worried about him" Remus said looking at James "There he is, okay bye" he said standing up and walking towards Regulus
"So our Moony has a new friend" says Peter looking at James and Sirius
"Looks like it, but why him?" says Sirius looking slightly bothered. "I mean, he could've befriended anyone outside of us and he chose my little brother, why?"
"I don't know I don't think it means anything, they probably just relate to each other, you know, they're both gay, maybe he just wanted a gay friend" says Peter simply
"Yeah, but they’ve definitely talked before,like their interaction is not the one you have with someone you barely know" Sirius says
"Yeah, well let's not think about that for now" James said, trying to change the subject.
“Okay, whatever” Sirius answered looking at Remus and Regulus, who were calmly talking to each other.

“Hey, how do you feel?” Remus asked Regulus once he reached him.
“I’m doing alright, I guess” Regulus replied
“So, what are we doing after school?”
“I don’t know, what to do you want to do”
“We could go to a mall, or to a coffee shop, we could borrow a book from the library and go somewhere quiet to read, whatever you want!” Remus told Regulus
“Yeah, the coffee shop seems nice” Regulus said with a smile
“Okay, then, see you after school” Remus said, going to sit with the other marauders again.

After school Regulus was walking out of his last class he saw Remus waiting for him, and he immediately went to hug him, he didn’t knew why, but after this morning after Remus hugged him, he wanted to constantly hug him, it was just very comforting, something he hadn't really felt before.
“So, we’re going?” asked Remus
“Yes” Regulus replied with a smile as they went to leave school holding hands, not aware that they were being observed by someone.
