It was a normal practice for the equestrian club, at least if you discount Riddle's excessive amount of energy and how even his precious horse Vorpal seemed to be eagerly anticipating something.
"Hey Riddle, yu said I should come see what he's bringing to your little hang out, nya?" Chenya or to the other two members of the equestrian club an oddly comfortable for being in the wrong school rsa student said making anyone who wasn't almost vibrating with excitement jump. However another sound made the two Diasomnia students look quickly at the direction the of the door given how soon after the last word left Chenya's mouth a distinctly equine galloping sound came from outside the club stables despite all of the horses being accounted for.
Rushing out would never prepare the poor half fae, and fae raised human for what they would witness or the enthusiastic laughter of the red haired club leader that followed the dread inducing sight.
Yu is a beast tamer, beast tamer's are rare not because having magic linked to monsters was a particularly rare occurrence but because they do traditionally stupid things like try to connect with and tame things that can and will kill them. Yu however, makes the stupid things succeed somehow. This is the only explanation Sam can offer for why Yu has shown up to the Equestrian Club on a literal demonic horse when he passed by the Equestrian Club on the way back to his shop after his expense meeting with the other members of NRC staff. Ko'oni-chan has always been mischievous and a little out there but it seems the limit has not been reached just yet of how reckless The little one can be.
Yu decided to tame an injured nightmare. It's injury being the fact that someone cut it's wings off completely (a serious and exceptionally catastrophic injury due to the mass death inducing consequences of grounding a nightmare should it survive it's wounds) so it essentially acts like a flaming demonic version of a black unicorn, if a black unicorn would actively gut any thing that gets close to it that is. Despite this Yu has some how tamed and earned the trust of the infernal creature to the point it has developed a willingness to be ridden like a common horse.
......... "I named her Kali cuz she's got a strong temper and liked the name." And chaotic giggles were the only things uttered by the students of the Equestrian and independent research clubs to (more specifically Yu and riddle) when the headmaster camp to check what caused the previous panicked screams. Of course he never expected to witness Yu on friendly terms with something that shouldn't have even been able to bypass the protection barrier on the Forrest and school within said Forrest. .......
"Yu, why are you like this?" Yu's mere shrug at the head master's inquiry was rather telling.
