Chapter Text
Harry laid on the lawn in the gardens of Potter Manor, his head in his wife’s lap. Nephele stroked his hair as they enjoyed the afternoon sunshine. She had just finished planting a series of flowerbeds that matched every charm on the bracelet she had given him over the years. All they had to do was look at this part of the gardens and it told their love story.
Harry pulled one of her hands away from his hair to kiss it. “Ambrosia,” he said. Your love is reciprocated. He never spoke the words. He never would. He would speak to her in the language she so adored—floriography.
Nephele’s breath hitched. "Harry?"
He kissed the inside of her wrist and stared up into her brown eyes. “Gardenia.” Sweet love, you’re lovely.
Nephele smiled at him, her eyes shiny. She cupped his face with her unoccupied hand as love spilled down their bond.
“Ivy,” he breathed against her bare skin. Fidelity in wedded love.
A tear slid down Nephele’s cheek and landed on Harry’s face.
Harry stroked his thumb across her fingers as he turned her hand. His heart was full as he kissed the ring he had given her on their bonding day. It was a memory that he would always treasure—Nephele entrusting him with her heart, magic, and soul.
“Arbutus,” Nephele replied through her tears as she leaned down and covered his face in kisses. “Arbutus, Harry.”
“Arbutus,” Harry agreed.
Thee only do I love.
