Chapter Text
“Hello, darling.”
“Hey.” Obi-Wan whispers. He looks to his side and sees Ahsoka snuggling up closer to him, he pets her lekku and she smiles in her sleep, embracing the soft touches.
“She did a lot to protect you.” Satine whispers and Obi-Wan nods.
“She’ll be a great knight.” Obi-Wan proudly says. Obi-Wan then looks to Satin seriously. “How long?”
Satine grabs his hand comfortingly. “You didn’t the time?”
“No, I was busy doing other things.” Obi-Wan snarks and Satine shakes her head.
“You’ve been in a coma for two years.” Satine seriously states and Obi-Wan looks at her shocked.
“Two years?”
“I’m sorry.”
“Wow.” Obi-Wan whispers. “And Mandalore?”
“Mandalore is flourishing, it’s become a great people.” Satine proudly states and Obi-Wan smiles a little.
“That’s good.”
“Anymore questions? I’ll answer any you have.”
“Sidious is dead?”
“Yes, Vos dealt the killing blow.”
“Course he did.” Obi-Wan grins.
“Was that Dooku I saw?”
Satine laughs a little. “Yes, Master Nu managed to get him on our side, he’s fine now. And I’m pretty sure they’re back together too.”
“So, it wasn’t just a rumor then.” Obi-Wan says and Satine smiles. “Anakin?”
“He’s still a Knight, to his dismay. Ahsoka will be knighted soon though so he will be Master soon enough.” Obi-Wan proudly smiles at Ahsoka. “Padme has told me that he’s thinking about leaving after she is knighted though. She’s pregnant with twins.”
“Good for them.” Obi-Wan states. “Twins is nice.”
“Does Ahsoka know about this?”
“I do now.” A lazy mumble is heard. Ahsoka’s eyes open and Obi-Wan continues to pet her lekku. “Now it’s just gonna be you and me.” Ahsoka mutters.
“Actually, I have an offer.” Satine states. Obi-Wan and Ahsoka look to her. “The war is over and I have already offered to the Senate that the clones come and live here since there blood is from here so they are technically citizens.” Obi-Wan and Ahsoka smiles at the news.
“I’ll miss Rex.” Ahsoka states.
“You might not have too.” Satine gently says. “I want to offer you and Obi-Wan a place here. You always told me after the war, Obi-Wan.” Satine states. “And I see how close you and Ahsoka are, so she is welcome as well. I would love to have you here too, Ahsoka.”
“Would I be able to finish my knighting first?” Ahsoka considers and Satine nods.
“Of course.”
“What do you think, little one?” Obi-Wan asks and Ahsoke smiles.
“I think it’s a good idea. You can retire with Satine here and I can be here with you guys.” Ahsoka states and Obi-Wan smiles.
“We’ll take your offer than.” Obi-Wan states and Satine chuckles.
“Does it go for me too?” Vokara asks as she walks in, making Satine jump from her place in the bed. “I see your awake.” Vokara smiles at Obi-Wan. “I am so happy to see you finally awake.” Tears gather in her eyes. Obi-Wan smiles at her and Vokara rubs his leg from the end of the bed.
“Aren’t you Head Healer, Master Che?” Satine asks, confused at her previous question.
“Yes, but I think it’s time I retire, I’m getting to old for the stress.” Vokara states. “And you can call me Vokara, Master Che is too formal after everything that has happened recently.” Vokara gently smiles and Satine nods.
“Well then, you are welcome to retire here as well.” Satine offers and Vokara gratefully nods.
“Your vitals are good, and you look healthy.” Vokara states after she is done checking over Obi-Wan. “Now, I just prescribe lots and lots of rest. And no getting up from your bed too much, you need to slowly ease into moving again.” Vokara demands and Obi-Wan sighs. “I will be keeping my eye on you.”
“Sometimes I wonder if I’m your son or prisoner.” Obi-Wan mumbles and Vokara smiles.
“Why can’t you be both?” Vokara sweetly asks and Ahsoka laughs.
A servant opens the door and bows down to the Duchess. “Duchess, I am sorry to bother you, but someone keeps dropping water all over the night workers from one of these rooms.” The servant says and Satine sighs.
“I will take care of it.” Satine states and the servant nods, leaving. Obi-Wan and Satine looks to each other.
“Quin.”
“Vos.” They both say at the same time.
“We best tell him to stop before he gets himself killed by angry night workers.” Obi-Wan states and Vokara raises her brow.
“We?”
“Yes, we. I have been asleep for two years, I am not tired at all right now.” Obi-Wan argues. “Plus, there just down the hallway I think.”
“Fine, but you have to use a wheelchair.” Obi-Wan moves to argue but Vokara shakes her head. “Tut tut. You’re not ready to walk yet, do you really want to tire yourself again?” Obi-Wan sighs and accepts his fate.
After gently placing Obi-Wan in a wheelchair, Vokara goes back to bed and Ahsoka wheels Obi-Wan to Quinlan’s room, Satine by their side. They open the door and see Quinlan on the balcony with Ambria, throwing water balloons off the balcony.
“Hmhm.” Satine clears her throat and they both startle and turn around.
“Why are you throwing water balloons off the balcony onto my servants?” Satine asks and Quinlan sheepishly grins.
“Hey, Obes, you’re awake!” Quinlan smiles, Satine gives him a look and Quinlan rubs the back of his head. “Well…” Quinlan pauses, he then takes a water balloon and lifts a balloon up proudly. “These aren’t water balloons, they are actually filled with yellow dye.” Quinlan explains.
“I hope you know that’s just worse, right?” Obi-Wan asks and Quinlan shrugs.
“Come on, it’s harmless. Plus, I was just showing Ambria how to do a great prank.” Quinlan nonchalantly says. “And don’t you remember the good old days when we use to do it to Mace?”
Ahsoka laughs and Obi-Wan turns red.
“If that is all, we were actually pretty busy before you interrupted us.” Quinlan waves towards the door and Satine shakes her head.
“You will not continue to throw balloons of the balcony, Vos.” Satine demands and Quinlan frowns and then smirks.
“Oh no.” Obi-Wan helplessly sighs.
“Wanna mess with Mace?” Quinlan asks Ambria and she lights up.
“Let’s do it!” Ambria declares and the both of them rush out of the room. Quinlan then comes back and rushes to the desk in the room and grabs a purple permanent pen.
“Can’t forget this.” Quinlan states and rushes off.
“If you were to put ‘Soka and Quin together, I would say that ‘Soka is the adult.” Obi-Wan states and Ahsoka smirks.
“Let’s get some sleep, you two.” Satine says and they leave for the bedroom.
After settling down on the bed, Satine and Ahsoka both snuggled up on either side of Obi-Wan. Ahsoka was fast asleep and Obi-Wan found himself petting her lekku once more as she relaxed into his side.
“This is nice, isn’t it.” Satine whispers and Obi-Wan smiles.
“Yes, it is.”
“And to think it will be just the three of us soon.”
“A happy family.” Obi-Wan mumbles and Satine smiles.
“I’m so happy we get to have a second chance to be together, Cyare.”
“Me too, me too.” Obi-Wan mumbles, his eyes drooping. “Goodnight, my Duchess.”
“Goodnight, my Cyare. Love you.” Satine pecks him on the cheek and then leans into his arm that’s around her.
“Love you, dear.”
Mace yawns and gets up from his luxurious mattress, too bad he couldn’t stay here just for the mattress. He walks to the bathroom and then looks in the mirror, then he washes his hands and is about to wash his face when he looks in the mirror realizing something.
His face had drawn on purple glass, a purple moustache, with purple angry eyebrows, and the word no plus three exclamation points on his forehead. His neck has the initials Q+A on it.
Maybe he should rethink his career, he thinks as he tries to scrub it off his face. Maybe he should become a Sith and get rid of his number one enemy, Vos. Yep, that’s a great idea. He looks back in the mirror and sees that none of it has come off. So yes, being a Sith will now be his new career.
“VOS!”
