Chapter Text
APRIL POV
“I’m starting to get worried,” April muttered to Mayhem, who was sitting on her lap. “I mean, why would Sandro need Donnie's password? I know he was lying with that terrible fake excuse but it hasn't left my mind.” Looking up at April, Mayhem responded with a concerned chirp. “It's like he was about to do something bad, real bad.” April continued rubbing her face. “I'm going to call the guys.”
SANDRO POV
I've been trying to turn on the stupid portal for 10 minutes now. I swear Donnie makes his tech practically unusable to anyone but him. “Now that I think about it,” I mumbled to myself, “I should bring some things. I mean, I don't plan on being there that long, but maybe if he's nice enough I'll bring him home!” Thinking to himself, Sandro nodded “Yeah, that would be great!” Sandro walked out of the lab into the main room grabbing all the blankets and pillows he could hold, going back and forth from the living room to the lab with loads of blankets and pillows leaving them on the ground by the portal. Shouldn't Donnie have some weird mystic heater? I know they’d made one a few winters ago after Leo and Mikey had trouble waking up from brumation.
Going back through the pile in the corner looking for anything that looks like a heater. I see something similar to a space heater though the colors are purple and dark grey and it looks like pure metal. I picked it up, god it's heavy, it had a switch with an on and off-label. I click it on and I’m hit with a wave of heat that feels like the sun just punched me in the face.
“AAAAH” I screeched, falling over and making the heater clank into the ground.
“JESUS, DON WHY DID YOU MAKE IT SO HOT?!” I yelled to myself in the lab alone.
I quickly picked the heater up and turned it off, setting it by the portal frame. Ok now for the hard part, turning it on. I walked around the portal looking for anything that stuck out. Wait, how did I not see this before? On the side of the portal is a small switch. Are you kidding me it was right there?!? Whatever it's now or never.
I flipped the switch and felt a rush of freezing air pass by me, making me stumble back. Ok ok, do I have everything? Blankets? Check, pillows? Check, heater? Check, phone? OH WAIT MY PHONE. I NEED TO SHOW HIM GACHA LIFE. I sprinted back to my room grabbing my phone, not noticing I left the Kraang plush out in the open on my bed. I run back to the portal and look through it. The prison dimension looks the same, cold, and bare. The huge geodes making up the void, I bet Mikey could do great graffiti art here like an infinite canvas. Taking a deep breath I walk through the portal, leaving the things by the portal to be grabbed after finding Kraang. I take one look around and there he is, just sitting there. God is this what he did for thousands of years? This just made me feel bad for him, like how you feel bad for a kicked puppy. Sucking in my breath ready to talk to him again I speak.
“KRAANG HEY BUDDY LOOK IM BACK” I yell to him from across the rocks. I see him flinch and look up at me in shock, not hatred, not an annoying look nothing like splinter has looked at me with. But I swear I saw some fondness in his eyes.
“Green one?” he said, sounding so shocked.
“Yeah, it's me! And my name is Sandro!” I yelled running to him so excited to be in his safe grasp again.
He looked so taken aback, so shocked I returned even though I told him I would be back. I jumped onto him, squeezing him as hard as I could, even though my arms could barely reach around him. I felt one of his arms hug me back. OMI GOSH HE IS HUGGING ME BACK. God, it's so hard to hold back my tears.
“I came back! Of course I would come back!” I said not trying to hide the knot in my throat. How do his brothers hide their crying? It's almost impossible so he breaks down right there on the Kraang.
“Is this normal? Why is your face leaking?” Kraang said let me go.
“It's silly crying! Yes, it's normal and I'm just so happy to see you!” I said through my sobs, laughing just a bit in between. “OH WAIT BEFORE I FORGET, WAIT HERE!” Surprisingly, he stayed right there as I ran back to the portal waiting for my return. I grab a little wagon and throw all the things onto it and come running back, blankets and all in tow. I set the heater down and turned it on.
“I bought a heater! And blankets. And pillows, and-" Kraang covered my mouth before I could continue to carry on listing everything he could see.
“I can see that,” Kraang said, uncovering my mouth and looking at the things in confusion.
“COME ON, I GOTTA SHOW YOU THIS AMAZING GAME CALLED GACHA LIFE!” I shouted excitedly.
We set up the blankets and pillows against the wall with the heater in our direction keeping me warm. I pull my phone out to show him all the characters I made.
“Look I made you! I tried to get all the details in,” I said pointing to an all-pink character. (ADD A PIC OF THE CHARACTER HE MADE)
“I see that?” Kraang replied in confusion. But I don't care if he doesn't get it. I'm very happy. I continued to show him my characters as I churred whenever he had something to add.
DONNIE POV
It was a normal night for Donnie. He was with his brothers out on the town after stopping a crime: some random dude stealing fish. But it all changed when April called them. He answered like he normally would.
“You are conversing with Donatello.”
“DONNIE DONNIE sooo, you know how you told me your safest password to your lab?”
“Yes? Yes, I did tell you, why?”
“So uh, Sandro called and needed to get into your lab, he wouldn't tell me why though.”
“So you let Sandro, CLUMSY DUM DUM SANDRO, INTO MY LAB, TELLING HIM MY PASSWORD?!?!?” As they yelled that his brothers perked up, looking at him in confusion.
“Look man, I don't think he did anything bad! Plus, I was trying to start Mayhem's bath! And I knew he would harass me if I didn't speak up!”
“Sigh ok ok. I'm heading home to see the damage. We WILL talk about this later. I swear my life on it.” Donnie said, pinching his nonexistent nose. He hung up with a long sigh.
“So uh… what happened?” Leo asked, popping up next to me and pointing at my phone.
“Annoyed sigh; we need to go home, Sandro got into my lab,” I said while standing up.
LATER
They were walking through the sewers back home.
“So Sandro got into YOUR LAB, which you barely let us touch because April knew the password?” Leo said AGAIN, laughing at his comment.
“For the one hundred and seventy-eighth time: YES” I replied, dramatically throwing my hands up in an annoyed manner.
“Hm, skill issue,” is all Leo had to say in response, putting his arms behind his head while walking.
MIKEY POV
We made it home and everyone went to check Donnie's lab to see what had happened. I went to Sandro's cart. It was wide open. I walk in, looking around for him.
“Sandy? Dude where did you g-”
I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw something weirdly horrifying. A plush that looks like the Kraang; simple, and made with some extraordinarily bad stitching. But as I was about to tell everyone, I heard Leo and Donnie yell in unison: “WHAT THE FUCK?!”
