The sound of a can tab being back with a sharp hiss almost makes him jump, the sound of his brothers voice making his shoulders droop.
“You still working on that?" Donnie questions him before he takes a languid sip of his K Pop Demon Hunters themed energy drink. "I would have thought you'd have blabbed your way through that by now."
Raph sighs wearily, digging a knuckle into the corner of his eye as if it might somehow dislodge some of his discomfort.
“Believe it or not," he says rather flatly. "I kinda need this grade. I would have just copied off of you otherwise."
Because whilst Raph hated homework with some sort of personal vengeance, he also hated that it was a necessity for the things he did enjoy, like clubs and sports.
He sighs and hangs his head into his hands with a long suffering sigh — getting his ribs broken by Super Fly was almost nearly as torturous as this.

“Hmm.” His Master mused. “Now that it’s woken up, it won’t be able to return into its cryogenic chamber. It’s useless to me in that weakened state. I suppose I will have to make a new one.” He stated. “Specimen, dispose of it.”
He visibly twitched. His heart started pounding in his ears. The shouts from the others faded from his mind as all he could hear now was ringing. The small one’s head tilted up, her big eyes staring right into his own.
He had to move. He had to obey. But he-
“Specimen.” His Master said.
And suddenly the noises were back. Too loud. He forced a step towards her. Then another. His body was stiff, his fist closed so tight his knuckles were turning white.
He kneeled in front of her. Her head moved to watch him. He placed his hands around her shoulders. He was shaking. Why was he shaking? This was just a mission. Why couldn’t he do this?
He pressed her shoulder harder, squeezing her lungs together. She was so small. So very small.
“Don’t ya fucking dare, ya monster!” The red one yelled.
She yelped.
