Although it’s a flawless, attractive smile, the expression settles across the stranger’s face just a hint askew, like a mask with one string snapped that can only always sit a few degrees lopsided. It reminds Ryuji too much of men like Kamoshida, men so evil and slimy that with enough smooth-talking they can convince you the sheen is actually a sign of boundless, god-like benevolence. Men who absolutely, under no circumstances, can be trusted.
