I hit send, then wait. I’m literally trembling from head to toe, beaming like an idiot.
I watch him and his team mates happily chatting and patting each other on the back. They make their way over to the sideline where they slowly start grabbing their phones and water bottles.
I watch Nick like a hawk, almost vibrating out of my skin at this point. I think I might actually die of anticipation.
He grabs his phone and water bottle, taking a long swig and then making some comment to the guy on his left, who laughs and claps him on the back. He smiles, then grabs his phone and starts walking toward the changing rooms, in the opposite direction from where I’m sitting. SERIOUSLY, Nick?! Without even looking at it?! I start to worry that he’s truly not even going to check it when I see him stop dead in his tracks.

Fighting bad guys is no problem, but figuring out a public image, interpersonal issues, equipment maintenance, transportation, politics, financial control, and time management are an entirely different story. When did being a hero get so complicated?
