Or Lu Guang only has this timeline left to try and save Cheng Xiaoshi. It just makes him very tired that's all. Especially when he knows that if he fails this time again that he won't ever see Cheng Xiaoshi again. After all Lu Guang was planning to make sure they never will meet so that Cheng Xiaoshi will never know that he even has powers in the first place.
Even if that will kill Lu Guang in the inside.

Humans would be taught at a young age to sing, be experimented on, abused, and soon, when the time came, they would be pinned against each other and sing until one died and the other was left standing. Love was lacking between both guardians and their pets; emotional understanding didn't exist between them. Empathy and sympathy towards humans wasn't even in the picture for them. Even with no idea how to love, how to give affection, or even what is right and wrong with love, they still tried to give it to the ones they hold dear most in this hell, doing anything for them. Some, though, may take that love and hold it high in the air and worship it like a god on a pedestal, because what can humans do other than believe in god?
