It happened like this. Zenitsu needed DJ work > Tengen needed a DJ > and Inosuke... REALLY needed this new roommate situation to work out, or he was going to lose his campus apartment. Tanjiro was just glad to book Zenitsu somewhere, he didn't look too closely at the venue. Samples were sent, contracts were signed, Zenitsu was gainfully employed, and it could have ended there.
