Tycho Black was struggling with a few things in his life, with no one to save him but himself. He didn't really care, though, considering it was easy to block out unwanted things. Zoey had also raised a weapon to Rumi, Despite not wanting to hurt her. She could've.
They felt horrible for what they did to one another yet struggled with how to control their emotions.
