Vampire: a once-human monster of the shadows. History is unsure if they were created by the greed of humans or the greed of Moon Shadow elves a part of the Order of the Blood Moon, but the continued spread of them is most certainly derived from a human’s cursed desire for power. These monsters feed off of blood. It gives them power. It is advised to kill any vampire encountered. If this creature is allowed to flourish, it would lead to death.
Corvus clutched the book page in his hand, it crumpling slightly as he hung onto the word monster. In any other context, the word made sense, it felt deserved, and perhaps it was deserved by all the never-ending bloodshed vampires left in their wake. Perhaps vampires were monsters. And yet, the word still made Corvus feel sick. It made Corvus feel like a beast that was never even alive or human. It made Corvus feel unstable, like a spring held tot and about to explode any second. He hated it. He hated every ounce of it.
