"Shit, sorry,” the boy mutters, already crouching down to pick up his books. When he straightens back up and takes out his headphones, Will is able to get a better look at the person standing in front of him. He’s maybe 4 inches taller, with deep chocolate eyes and a freckle-covered face.
A voice snaps him out of his thoughts, “I’m Mike. Mike Wheeler.”
Will just stares at him in awe, trying to shake off the feeling of butterflies in his stomach. His palms feel weirdly sweaty.
“I’m Will,” he manages to get out, “Will Byers.”
“Cool…” Mike says, studying him for a second longer than seems necessary. “Well, see you around.”
“See you...” Will mutters as Mike walks away.

Jane smiles. “Don’t let Mike get to you; he can be a dick sometimes, but he’s really not that bad.” She says, bending down to pick up the cords for Will, starting to plug them into his guitar. “Yeah, totally.” Will mumbles, glancing behind him.
His eyes drifted back to Mike. Mike is adjusting his microphone, fiddling with the stand until it’s the right height. He’s tall–really tall–and all sharp angles and long limbs. He’s lanky, but not in an awkward way. He kinda looks like a hot elf or something. Will realizes too late that he’s staring.
Mike turns, their eyes meeting. For a split second, something flickers across his face. Surprise, maybe. It quickly smooths back to disinterest.
Will looks away quickly, heat crawling up in the back of his neck as he focuses his attention back to Jane, who is plugging the cords into his guitar.
A quiet scoff sounds behind him.

The demons claws had peirced through his stomach and without proper medical attention Zenitsu was sure to bleed out. On pure adrenaline, Tanjiro's legs kept running as if they were their own being, despite the injuries they bore. He was fatigued and wasn't sure he could run much longer but he kept going anyway. It was hard to grasp what had happened just moments ago, how come he had let himself get distracted and let an attack almost kill him just for Zenitsu to take the hit instead. Why hadn’t he just died. He was going to lose another person he cherished because of his stupidity and weakness. how many people would the gods rip out of his grip until they were satisfied? How many more demons had to die before Tanjiro could rest easy?
