Every head swiveled as Blondie stalked forward, snatched Roman’s untouched plate of pasta, and upended it over Roman’s head. The plate clattered to the floor as sauce splashed everywhere, across Roman’s shirt, dripping down his arms, staining the dark fabric of his jeans. For a split second, nobody breathed.
Roman just sat there, blinking down at the mess and feeling the warm sauce soak into his clothes. His first thought was disturbingly practical about how his clothes might not survive this. His second: Well, that escalated fast.
