The music in the background had either slowed down, or maybe my mind was simply starting to slow, but the quiet around us made it feel as though everyone else had disappeared, leaving just the two of us. Draco’s thumb traced lightly along the edge of my blouse, his hand wrapped firmly yet gently around my waist.
I began avoiding his gaze, my thoughts constantly drifting to the touch of his finger. Could he feel my skin getting warmer and warmer? I hoped I hadn’t flushed. I hoped he wasn’t aware of what was happening —otherwise, he will never stop talking about it.
Slowly, he slid his finger upward, never taking his eyes off mine for a single second, as if trying to etch his gaze into my face.
Then he leaned closer to my ear, his soft lips brushing against it. I could hear the smirk in his voice. Slightly louder than a whisper, he said,"You are not the only one who is focused on this."
