Peter didn't dare move as he watched her face, a thought seemingly crossing her mind. Turning her head up one more time, she said something that would change his life, though he didn't know it yet.

Let me get this straight: I was just an average American military doctor who was fortunately selected by NASA to be a Mars-bound astronaut, for I had a bachelor’s degree in Plant Biology and Conservation and a medical doctorate, plain and simple — no fancy extras.
But my mission partner, called Sherlock Holmes was a British nobleman with three PhD degrees: Physical Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science.
