Billy watched from hallway as Eddie sat perched on the counter. His face was flushed deep pink, curls sticking damply to his forehead, lips parted as he breathed a little too fast.

Billy had heard enough, crossing into the kitchen and with gentle but firm hands he guided Steve to the side. Taking the medicine from Steve’s hand in one smooth motion, barely glancing at it before setting his attention fully on Eddie.
Eddie’s eyes tracked the movement of the cup as it was once again brought in front of him, “No—”
