Most of Maksim's dreams are about Ilya. When he was a kid Ilya used to hold him, rub circles on his back and sing slow, Russian lullabies. Now Maksim hears them when he wakes up, even though Ilya is miles away.
Ilya isn't a bad person. Maksim repeats it in his head over and over again like a mantra. Ilya isn't a bad person. He's not. He never was. He loved Maksim more than anything, maybe even more than he loved Shane. He wanted him to be happy. That's why he did what he did. Maksim takes a deep breath. Ilya isn't a bad person. He made a stupid mistake.

He's traumatized by a series of inappropriate encounters with his brother and he sexually abuses his son. But Denethor will not burn at the stake by himself. He will not allow his son to go unpunished for the torment he has put him through.
So whenever Faramir returns home from his missions, he traps his son in a naked embrace. He watches him writhe like a salted worm on the bed sheets as he penetrates his being so his body too may burn, may know what torture he inflicts on his father’s psyche.
Faramir’s bed has become the Steward’s altar of sin. Upon the cold slab, morality is sacrificed in exchange for a burning pleasure they should not have shared.
If Denethor is ruined, so should his son. He is, after all, a mirror of himself, isn’t he?

Things had even started looking better for the Titan army when they'd fished Percy Jackson out of the water after blowing up Mount Saint Helens.
Ethan was left with the task of looking after an injured Percy. Forcing him to confront the reality of what Kronos's plans for the son of Poseidon really are. And forcing him to see the truth the more time he spends with Percy.
After Percy blows up Mount Helen he finds himself captured by the titan army. And confronted with the reason Kronos wants him alive. he ends up befriending a demigod on the opposite side of the war. And learning more about just how bad things are for the unclaimed kids of the gods. He also finds himself falling for Ethan the more time he spends with him.

Maddie and Doug are spending the day at Hersheypark. At the end of the day, as they are leaving Hersheypark, Maddie gets kidnapped. Maddie doesn’t have much fight in her as she knows if she does get out of this she is just going back to her life with Doug. Eventually she manages to fight back and she makes it out of there alive. But trying to heal from her trauma from the kidnapping is hard enough on its own and it feels completely impossible when she is still with Doug and he blames her for getting kidnapped and gets mad at her for struggling to cope.

Meanwhile, Alicia struggles with adjusting back to a life she no longer wants and still doesn't know that Verso is alive - as is Gustave, in a way.But those turn out to be the least of their problems as the conflict between the Writers and the Painters takes a turn for the worse and either side expresses their displeasure with the events that lead to that escalation, and the people responsible for them.
