Yua cocked their head to the side slightly as they watched him go, then turned to their friends. Nakidori sighed and rolled her eyes.
Yua blinked and and densely said "...What?"
Seidou made a face. "I hope it goes well?"
Nakidori cracked her neck, muttering "Keep us on speed dial."
A younger and less wise Kazama Yua makes bad decisions which hit back with lifechanging consequences. Their friends prove to them what family truly means.
This is a prequel to the main story of Play The Hand You're Dealt. It's an origin story of sorts for Kazama Yua.

Maddie and Doug are spending the day at Hersheypark. At the end of the day, as they are leaving Hersheypark, Maddie gets kidnapped. Maddie doesn’t have much fight in her as she knows if she does get out of this she is just going back to her life with Doug. Eventually she manages to fight back and she makes it out of there alive. But trying to heal from her trauma from the kidnapping is hard enough on its own and it feels completely impossible when she is still with Doug and he blames her for getting kidnapped and gets mad at her for struggling to cope.
