While they're working on that, could you tell me what has happened since we lost contact with Amphoreus?"

He chuckles, and it vibrates through my chest, sending chills over my skin. "And you fucking love it."I wanted to say something, something quick-witted and bordering on mean. But his arms looked so delicious in this tank top, and his lips were full and bright red, just begging for me to finally break the tension between us.

Well Vox did and that's why he ended up getting sent back in time to stop the First Man from biting the dust before everyone returns to it. And if his sudden change in behavior makes more then a few people raise an eyebrow and question things then fuck them. Vox already lost everyone once, gained some much needed (and bitter) insight because of it and decided that no fucking way he's about to live through that a second time.
If that means being a bigger dick then 'original dick' then Vox will do it and just pray that he doesn't end up shooting Adam himself before everything is said and done.
