Summary
Taehyung is a solider, someone uniquely qualified to survive the end of the world. Jungkook is his very best friend, a dreamer and an optimist and something of a dying breed. Hoseok is a guy they quite literally found in a ditch and let tag along on their journey into oblivion.
Food is dangerously scarce. Clean drinking water feels more like a pipe dream than an actual possibility. Human civilization is, for all intents and purposes, on its last legs.
It's one thing to combat starvation and violent gangs of raiders. Taehyung understands that. It's brutal but it makes sense to him. What he doesn't understand is the post-apocalyptic cult that seems to have taken over Arizona, one that operates in the shadows, one that leaves its macabre mark spraypainted on buildings and carved into trees.
Who are they? What do they want? And why do they seem to be following Taehyung, Jungkook and Hoseok everywhere they go?
Is this mysterious caste humanity's only real hope for rebuilding society? Or are they just another in a long line of monsters hunting innocent survivors across the desert?
