Kieran's a demon. There's some fine print on his contract but the term is close enough for casual conversation. He's the Hellhound of the Nine Rings, an enforcer for one of the major supernatural crime families in the city known as Saint Aurelia. He's not one for politics both mundane and supernatural, he just wants to keep his head down, do enough jobs to curry a little bit of favor, and maybe, some day, he'll be offered the chance to buy his own freedom.
What he doesn't count on is a stubborn cat, a cute oracle, and his own healing humanity getting in the way of that plan.
Author note: I'm just practicing writing and wanting to share as I go. I don't have a grand vision for this, nor do I have anyone else editing/beta reading. I want to deliver a quality story but really I'm writing it so it just exists in some way, shape, or form and then I'll do an editing pass as I feel like it.

Welcome to the Resistance Chronicles. This nine-part series depicts the events between my Star Wars, Episode VII fix-it fic, covering nine months of cold conflict between the co-opted Republic Government and Leia Organa's fledgling Resistance.
This series began as a set of notes that I used to establish the plot of my fix-it fic for Star Wars, Episode VIII. As I began writing the notes out, I became increasingly interested in fleshing out the story in a similar fashion to the Clone Wars animated television series.
This series also gives characters like Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Ackbar, Madine, Mara Jade, Din Djarin, Sabine Wren, the Armorer, Jacen Syndulla, Hera Syndulla, and Ben Solo more space to breathe before the chaotic whirlwind of Episode VIII. It also offered more space to focus on original characters, including Jax, Kit Antilles, Kira Palpatine, Veryx, Specks, Bolsko, Ferrer Melso, the Prime Jedi, Zhey'la Vendez, Aven Bryton, and Akeyla Ismaren.
Once I post the entirety of the Resistance Chronicles, I will move to posting Episodes VIII and IX.
