The last days of the siege drag on through bloody battle and ruined walls. The silver is still safe inside the fort's basements but there is only so much that can stand between it and the praguers. Luckily, the enemy forces are conveniently overcome by infighting and sudden sickness, perfectly matching up with Henty's and Sam's venture into their camp.
The forces inside Suchdol hold out for barely long enough for the army to come. The praguers are slaughtered. The fort is liberated. The silver is saved at the last second but Hans worries sick for Henry's fate. First it was the despair over newly beloved's death, then it turned into dread over who he became over the course of this unfinished war.
