If Will had been paid attention to by the writers, he could've had a really good relationship with Max and Robin.
In turn, these friendships would have given him the confidence to actually live in Lenora, not just exist there.
In this fic, Will makes a friend in California, and learns how to be 'Will', instead of 'Will Byers, the kid that disappeared that one time'.
Purely indulgent for me, but I really do think Will is worth so much more than what is shown, so this follows the life that he could have had.

This will see Byers family domesticity and growth, Will getting a makeover, Mike and El having a healthy relationship, Byler endgame, slight Elmax, and the Party being the Party again.
