Summary
Chance, the quintessential ladies' man of Hawkins High, has a crush on Will Byers and thinks he might be gay. He couldn't tell you when his view of Will went from "zombie boy" to "hot boy" but it was around the time the Military had finally left Hawkins 18 months earlier. Will suddenly seemed "different" and Chance had been going crazy watching Will pine for a seemingly oblivious Mike Wheeler while he tried everything to get Will's attention. He decided the evening of graduation at Stacey's party he would make his move and (hopefully) make Will forget Mike ever existed... Or at least plant the seed of possibility that Will could find love elsewhere.
Luckily for Chance, Mike's continued mishandling of Will's heart would make that task easy. After Mike rejects Will at the party, Chance is there to pick up the pieces and Will, heartbroken and wanting to move on, opens his heart to Chance. It isn't without struggle though, as when Mike finally realises what he has lost a battle for Will's love ensues and Chance begins to think that maybe he never really stood a chance against the cosmic, all-consuming love Will has always felt for Mike. Even so, he wasn't about to go down without a fight!
