Summary
Though he may live a privileged life for a boy in Hawkins, Indiana, life isn't easy for Evan Cunningham. As the younger brother of Chrissy Cunningham, Evan is largely overlooked by his parents and peers. He spends most of his childhood watching from the sidelines, alone with his intrusive thoughts. Scared of what was to come, Amalia picked up a job at Scoops Ahoy and met Robin. The awkward tension was palpable, and the desire was yet to be brought to the surface. Will they be able to live the life they want to live, or will they hide in the shadows?

This is a "clean" version of my s4 rewrite Steddie fic "Be Kind, Please Rewind" I'm uploading for my mother and anyone else that's interested! (Mom, don't click that link 😅)
Shortly after season four came out, I decided I wanted to rewrite it with the premise that Steve and Eddie were already dating, but I also wanted to show how they ended up dating, and ... Two years later, the story is finally done. This is my magnum opus. I want to print this, bind it, and be buried with it. I hope others find as much joy reading it as I did writing it!
