Eddie’s biggest regret is that he didn’t shove his GED up Higgins’ gigantic, hairy nostrils after he got it just a few months after dropping out. Because Hawkins High was the problem. Not him. What if he could still stick it to Higgins though? What if he could help Max at least? Sure, Higgins should never know that Eddie and Max managed to stick it to him. But even if Higgins doesn’t know, Eddie would have done something. That’s it. He’s got to bust her out.
“We’re busting out your sister,” Eddie declares. He shoves some popcorn in his mouth to feign confidence.
“Like that twerp would ever accept our help,” Billy growls. “I don’t know why she’s so fucking… like this! It’s like pulling teeth to get her to take anything.”
Eddie thinks there’s a strong family resemblance, but he’s not going to say anything. Whatever this is feels pretty delicate, like one wrong comment could bring it all crumbling down. Besides, they’ve got more important stuff to think about, like how they’re going to bust Max out of detention.
