Summary
Frank was ambivalent to life, the promise the 80s had brought him leaving him with nothing other than a bitter disappointment when nothing had changed.
No matter how hard he tried, there was no way he could resign to the conformity that was being forced upon him because in the back of his heart, he knew his story was always supposed to be greater than this.
Nobody understood him, just as he didn't understand them leaving him feel if he was constantly tuned into a radio that nobody else's frequency had an ability to reach. It didn't matter what job, person or promise he tried to commit to, he would always let his dissatisfaction sabotage it as they all failed to meet his expectations.
He was on the brink of resigning to nothingness, and if it had not been for his mother threatening to disown him, then maybe he wouldn't have followed her that summer to work in the country club.

Summary
In one of their summer 1989 campaigns, Mike includes a mysterious, recurring NPC. A male tower guard who appears to be interested in Will. Will is confused and a little apprehensive at first, while Lucas, Dustin, and Max are very much intrigued.
The guard seems to be hiding something crucial to unraveling the mystery of the cursed river he watches over. Yet Will turns out to be the only one who can get him to talk... by charming him.
(Inspired by that one post “Was playing DnD and started flirting with the tavern keeper to get some info and at a certain point I realized I was just dirty talking with my buddy Ben.”)

Summary
Summer 1980. The Arklay Laboratory has its own rules and very little room to breathe. It's a world of its own, and Albert Wesker knows how to survive inside it. William Birkin is brilliant, messy, and impossible to dismiss. A weekend in the woods is supposed to be a small escape. It isn't. Whatever shifts there between them refuses to stay behind, and returning to the laboratory only sharpens the distance Wesker once relied on. Between intimacy, Wesker's old loyalties to Ozwell Spencer, and the feeling of always being watched, Umbrella, it turns out, is not a world where anything stays contained for long. Least of all when William is involved.

Summary
“Kuibin, stop,” Quanrui breathed, his back pressed against the cold brick of the alleyway. The smell of woodsmoke was thick in the air, but all he could focus on was the heat of Kuibin’s hand on his wrist. “What if someone walks by? What if they see us?”
Kuibin didn't pull away. He only leaned closer, his voice a rough whisper against Quanrui's ear. “Let them look.”
Thirty years later, Shen Quanrui is a man who was never seen. He followed the rules, took the arranged marriage, and built a life out of silence and proper Mandarin. He thought he had successfully buried the boy who stood in that alleyway.
But when a single phrase at the dinner table—“Eat before it gets cold”—shatters his mask, the sterile air of his modern apartment feels too thin. He realized too late that you cannot kill a memory by ignoring it. Now, the ghost of a noodle stall owner is pulling him back to 1980s Beijing, to a fire that never actually went out and a choice that has left him starving for decades.
Or: Quanrui spends thirty years pretending he isn't in love with the man from the noodle stall, only for a slip of the tongue to ruin everything.

Summary
Wally Clark sucked.
At least that's what anyone not on the football or cheer teams would say. Plenty of people were duped by the hope "hometown hero" Wally Clark would acknowledge them, offer a smile or a high five, but there were those who avoided his direct line of sight. He and his pack of neanderthals were terrors.
By 2023, he's a much kinder person, but forty years ago, Wally lived a different life.
You remember it all.
