And you don’t look a whole of a lot better right now, Erin thought bemusedly. “Thank you.” There didn’t seem to be anything else to say. She didn’t know his name, his friends were probably waiting outside and more than anything she wanted to close up. She smiled at him, “I appreciate it.”
The look on his face wasn’t exactly a smile, but it looked like he was trying, skin rising and stretching in a way that seemed foreign on his particular face. The result was a lopsided half-grin that ended almost as soon as it had begun. Erin felt bad that she had forced him through such an ordeal.
A yell came from outside, “Crash, ya’ comin’?”.
Crash, of course his name was Crash.
