Behind closed doors, amidst the scent of cedar and cooling ink, neither is brave enough to name the hunger that has lived too long in the dark, and neither is strong enough to keep it there.
I mostly wrote this because I had to weave Korora into the ATLA universe and the idea would not leave me alone. I’m still finding the shape of the story, so canon may be followed, bent, or quietly set on fire.
