The world had narrowed down to her and the Pure Vessel and this stone circle they stood in, the edge of her pin and the edge of their nail, a fight to win.

Bucky weasels his way into Clint's world, and Clint, well, Clint has to learn what it's like to be human again, in a world of the undead.
What will happen to these two men as they journey through pain, illness, hunger, torture, and untold sorrows? Can they defeat Zombie Hulk, make it out of the city, and find others, like themselves, who will help them fight against the odds?

Il y a une vie après les aventures et tous ces Links avaient laissé ces idioties de quêtes divines derrière eux. Certains se sont mariés et ont des enfants, d’autres trouvent un sens à leur vie dans leur carrière, dans l’exploration ou la reconstruction de leur monde.
Mais voilà que la déesse les rappelle, eux dont le seul point commun – en dehors de leur nom – est de faire partie des chronologies touchées par une corruption qui n’est pas étrangère à certains d’entre eux.
Ils n’ont alors pas d’autre choix que d’apprendre à se battre ensemble, car il n’est pire combattant en équipe que celui qui est habitué à ne compter que sur lui-même. Ils ont vingt-huit jours par époque pour détruire la source de la corruption.
Un mois pour chacun d’entre eux ? Ils sont sept (ou huit ?) et Rule sait qu’il n’a pas autant de temps devant lui. Il accouchera avant la fin de cette quête et ne va pas se priver d’être grossier envers la déesse d’ici là.
