The Freak Circus has rules for a reason.
Harlequin knows how to turn hunger into performance. Mezzentino knows how to make danger lean closer and call it charm. They should be simple to each other: irritant and obstacle, knife and mirror, two monsters with too much pride and not enough restraint.
Then a rainy night backstage turns provocation into contact, contact into appetite, and appetite into something neither of them is willing to name.
In a circus built on blood, spectacle, and bad decisions, hatred is supposed to be the safer language.
Unfortunately, Harlequin and Mezzentino have always been quick learners.

Spear and Spell was one of many games of the 24th century, a dark fantasy game set in the late 18th century. Unfortunately, the largest kingdom in the game has all of his players trapped in their game as their characters on another world, a world dominated by another empire, the Saderan Empire.

Why has no one found the island before, would the hunters be able to keep peace and everyone safe, and what happens when the find the island isn't just unwelcoming but actively hostile.
