This fic was inspired by/is my own spin off story to NeiNing's 'Over the Seas'- a story of my own 'what if' between the last chapter's time skip. You don't necessarily need to have read that book to read this one, without it you'd probably still understand this one well enough, but I'd still recommend reading the other for the full understanding!

The Riders have no choice but to retreat back to Berk as another large fleet of ships close in on them, overwhelming them with projectiles. They were able to retrieve Toothless from the water, but Hiccup was no where to be found.
Toothless is severely injured and needs to take time to heal. Hiccup washes up on an unknown island and has to figure out how to survive.
