In other words: Anakin Skywalker just wants to be able to look his daughter in the eye. The Galaxy burns.
A continuation of the life and times of Thraken Dericote and the Galaxy in which he finds himself. Watch as he continues to lose himself to fighting in a war where decisive actions become more and more necessary and where mistakes could cost the lives of untold billions. The risks have never been greater as a war of shadows and a war of ships and men bring greater and greater clashes. Will the many Rebellions and Insurrections against the Empire succeed, or will their internal squabbling give the Galactic Empire the opportunity to extinguish the final embers of Republic and Confederacy both. Only time will tell.
This fic is the sequel to "A Life at War: Twilight". It is not necessary to have read Twilight to understand what is happening here, though of course I recommend it anyway.

Vel and Kleya's relationship is one of passion but they struggle with being open with each other. Mon Mothma tries to rebuild her life but the responsibility of being chanchellor makes any life outside politics impossible. On Mina-Rau, Bix wants to raise her son in peace while the Empire's influence still looms large over the planet.
Other major characters include Dedra, Wilmon, Leida and Alexsandr Kallus (from Star Wars: Rebels)
This is our vision of a continutation to Andor which explores the same themes of moral ambiquity and political corruption.
The setting diverges from official canon regarding the New Republic era in several places. Everything from the films are canon to this fic, but with a mix of elements from Canon, Legends and Star Wars: Visions added for good measure.
