Each chapter is independent of the others, and I deliberately omitted all the other major characters, focusing on my two favorites and portraying them as a happily married couple.
Their troubles sometimes are serious, other times downright ridiculous. However, they muster through it all.

Colin is an aloof engineering specialist in his late 20s who prefers spending his free time looking at machine schematics and fixing things over being present at social events with his fellow crewmembers. Despite his best attempts at keeping to himself after a recent transfer to the USS Enterprise, Colin is quickly adopted into a small friend group of fellow engineers, wherein one of them is hosting a matchmaking event for Valentine's Day which Colin accidentally signs up for.
The matchmaking is done by a specialised computer program which provides a compatibility score for each couple, and although it estimates most of them to be no more than a mere 60% compatible, Colin finds himself as one half of the only match with a 100% compatibility rating — a rare perfect pairing. Which, if you ask him, is obviously complete bullshit. But even more confusing is the fact that the person whom the program has deemed as being his "perfect match", is none other than Lieutenant Commander Data himself; someone whom Colin has never even spoken with before and who suddenly seems very intent on spending as much time with him as humanly (or, android-ly) possible.

It’s a photo, like one of the ones you would print out at CVS to put in a frame and hang on the wall. In it, he sees Eva. She’s younger, her face the same as he remembers from before. She’s in a hospital bed, holding a small bundle of blankets. Grace finds that he’s already tearing up, and he knows that there’s so much more to go through. It’s going to be a long, emotional night.

Eva shows Grace the memory boxes she kept for him, showing him their daughter’s life—the life he missed out on because of his mission.

The two men have completely opposite personalities, the Croatian is outgoing and energetic, whereas he is quiet and strategic. Just being around the DJ made Zhao Yu feel drained, exhausted and even angry, emotions he did not feel – or liked feeling – that often. It wasn’t always like this, however.
