He hadn’t been writhing when they found him: he hadn’t been anything when they picked up the abnormal shape drifting in the Patrova line on their way to Erid."Ryland Grace has never been great at making friends. Now that he has a mutated, traumatized, and possibly insane man in the Hail Mary's quarantine room, he wishes he would have practiced more. Rocky wishes they'd ejected the monster out of the airlock.

Demeter has a plan: kidnap Nico di Angelo, take him to her sanctuary in Eleusis, and give him the structure, discipline, and childhood no one else ever gave him.
The problem is that Nico is fourteen, survived Tartarus, and refuses to be treated like a baby. Not even when they put a power-sealing bracelet on him, dress him in animal onesies, and lock him in a crib with divine wooden bars.
While Hades awkwardly learns to be a father amidst diaper changes and tangled lectures, Nico's abduction triggers a chain reaction on Mount Olympus. Zeus, Poseidon, and Apollo decide they too can "rescue" their own demigod children.
But amid punishments, viral humiliations, and cups of warm milk, Nico faces something far more terrifying than his captivity: the discovery that a deeply broken part of him might not hate being cared for as much as he should.
A story about gods trying to be parents, parents trying to be gods, and a boy trying to find the difference between a cage and a home.
